Calling on Tacomaworld for a very strange question today... anyone else’s shifter super loose like this? I just got it back from the dealer and all of a sudden the knob moves extremely easily... went to shift and damn head moved! Edit: it used to not move at all.

I hope it’s something as simple as tightening it or something but I still shouldn’t have gotten it back this way... they also forgot to replace my cabin air filter for the 20k service I just had done. I don’t know if they remove knob and boot for 20k mile service but.

Mine does not do that. Do yourself a favor and don't go to the dealership for service, even if it's free.

"Forgot" is giving them too much credit.

How do you know they changed the oil filter? How's the oil level?

Until you check, it's not right. Unless you watched everything get done correctly I'd assume they dicked it all up. This sounds like the case.

Edit: Sorry don't mean to poop on your Saturday but I've been burnt one too many times by these knuckle draggers.

I’ve been burned a lot by both sales and service on this truck. I have had tons of issues with the truck itself(rear diff replacement, passenger seat issues, transmission, motor, pillar, TSS) and tons of issues/grievances with the dealer.. a lot of people say stop calling them “issues”, and start calling them “incompetent”... my Saturday was already pooped on. Lol no harm there.

I remember seeing them. Too bad I wasn't paying attention a little more. There were one row up and about 15 seats to my right.

Not sure if "Lemon Law" applies to leases but with all the problems you have been having it might be worth looking into.
