Who thinks we might just make it through this winter without a significant snowfall?

I annoyed we've gotten mostly rain. I would much rather have snow than cold rainy days. I'm hoping we at least get something in the next month.

I’m annoyed too; But at the same time, I love snow until I have to help shovel it!

This is part of the reason I quit my job at a car dealer detail shop; We got paid flat rate (per car) and didn’t get paid anything extra for doing stuff like clearing snow; I will not remove snow from any property for free, unless it’s my own, an immediate family member’s, or a close friend’s...

Everyone else needs to either pay up or shut up!

My neighborhood has a volunteer snowblower brigade! My friend and neighbor Ryan, the guy who installed the stereo system and backup camera in my truck, says that "When you own a snowblower, you look for any excuse to use it!"

I feel the same way about the snow tires I put on the Taco. It's been a mild winter (which I'm not complaining about because I dislike the cold), but I was hoping to get some decent snowfall so I could test these tires out. I mean, I invested time and money into them!
They are studded and have super-deep tread, so driving on clean pavement makes the truck sound like a Panzer tank in overdrive.

Are studded tires still legal in Pennsylvania?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Perfectly legal between Nov 1st and April 15th.

I was considering getting studded tires just for the back of the truck before I decided to get the Cooper Discoverer AT/3s and go back to factory wheels...

I honestly thought they were totally illegal in PA now!

Studded tires on only one axle is asking for trouble anyway.

Even in a RWD? I may be remembering this wrong, but back in the 1990s my aunt and uncle had a 1991 Volvo 240 sedan; They ordered it new with every available option, including a limited-slip rear diff...

I seem to remember that my uncle only put the studded tires on the back...? The Volvo was my aunt's, and uncle's daily driver was a 1994 Ford Ranger XLT, also ordered with just about every available option including a "posi" rear; My uncle would put studded tires on old steel wheels on the back and then fill the back with cinder blocks and old rims...

    Worked great!

So you've got studded tires in the back.. you can accelerate, great!

All your braking is done in the front, and all your steering is done in the front.. you can go, but not turn or stop. Not great!

He probably did put studded tires on all fours; I've NEVER put studded tires on my truck...

If ever do, then now I know!

Woot for the 240! That's my other ride. Never did me wrong in snow yet... but usually if I know its coming I'm in the Taco.

240 is in the inspection shop at this moment. Let's pray they don't mess anything up and say it needs that fixed (they buggered up a few lugnuts last time).

SSOooo, went to Norristown DMV to apply and receive my RealID in one shot. Well that was my plan...:anonymous:
    Unknown.jpg
Stupidy, stupidy. At 1145, I was i152, they were calling i108. At 1:05 they were calling i119. At that rate, I would have been there until tomorrow.

    DMV never ceases to amaze.

RealID wasn’t even available when I renewed my license last year, and I was supposed to be eligible for online verification but PennDOT never got back to me...
