Yeah, seriously. Or maybe they're just giving a quick sandblast to all the frames they take back on recall and form them into the "new" frames, then rinse them in saltwater, then some black sharpie marker and throw a new body on them. Cha-ching!

 

Which is worse, that Jeep or an eclipse with a hitch?

I have a ‘19 too and the other week when I looked underneath mine and I saw similar things. I was shocked to see the rust considering this is my first winter with it. And we’ve hardly had any winter weather!

I've been following the thread for a month or so. I want to do it, but with just over 100,000 I'm thinking I might as well wait until I need to do the whole thing. What clutch did you go with? Been hearing back and forth on the clutchmasters. No complaints from URD for clutch components. I was thinking URD stage 2 and clutchmasters hydro bearing when the time comes.

 

Love the after market spoiler as well...makes the car a real "Fast and Furious" machine

 

Kind of makes ya wonder if Toyota will just keep extending the frame recall like they are now and shooting the preventative cavity stuff some others are getting on their 17’s.

 

I have an OEM clutch. Replaced it at 160K and I’m now at 197K
Left it that way.

For all the work that went into that, they should have put a 4.0 in it. That said, it looks nice and I'd totally cut the front end off to put a solid axle under it and then go bounce it off trees.
