I noticed about 2 years ago when the workers started wearing polo shirts.My other favorite store up that way Weavers dry goods also now wear polo shirts but still employ some Amish.

I did a siding job for a guy. He said he had two jobs, working at (place I know) and containing the bamboo.

You don't want that.

 

It requires containment to control it, a friend dug a trench 48” deep in his backyard and poured 6” thick concrete walls to keep it under control

So one of our friends flew down for a family vacation in Florida last week. All went ok going down, but they were scheduled to fly back today. Issue was all flights back to Jersey (her sister lives there and was cheaper to fly out of) at the moment were canceled. Luckily they got a rental car and are driving back. My ass was about to pack a bag, drive to Florida and get them had they not gotten a rental. This crap is getting crazy. Actually kinda wanted to do a spur of the moment road trip, oh well.

 

I took vacation starting 3/6 to 3/17 for that time I was home working on the house. Mostly paint & trim. Other than a couple trips to HD I've been home most of the time. Now that I'm "back" from Vacation I'm still working from home, and to be honest, I fucking love it.

The only downside is that the wife is being an absolute pill...

 

My neighbor did the same thing but used a 2" special type of rubber made to contain bamboo it actually works pretty good.

I have 2 different bamboos planted. Neither have really taken off. They've been planted for about 4-5yr now. One is a small type gets around 3' the other gets around 10-15' I believe. One is yellow groove bambo . The other I can't remember what it is. I tried to grow moso bamboo before. It died on me. Taking the boat out to Curwensville lake today. Although currently the lake is up 3.5' since last week.

 

Wow learned something new!

My guess would have been the climate was to cold go figure.
