I've bought like 20k of IT stuff in the past month. At this point if the order doesn't break 10k no one even looks at it twice.

If anyone can't tell, I did everything I needed to get done this morning before it got hot now I'm hiding in my office.

    Ouch.

So Wednesday we were scheduled to do a crane load to ship out our machine. Weather was perfect, nice and sunny with a cool breeze. While loading our second truck it was like a switched flipped. We had just set the tarp on when all hell broke loose. I'm trying to hold on as this thing is catching wind and flapping all over the place. Transformers blowing up, branches falling all over the place and our building lost power. Tied that tarp down asap and ran inside. When it finally passed we got the crane packed up and the truck was ready to leave, then I noticed something black hanging right over our driveway. Turns out the pole that supplies us snapped and laid the wire down about 7 feet up across our entrance. Had to wait until yesterday for peco to come replace the pole and get the wire high enough to let the truck and crane out. One of the craziest loading I've ever been apart of haha.

From what I can tell its still really bad. Were having some deals coming through but there not making any money on any of them. I am told just making a deal is good so :notsure:

On the one hand, this is probably a pretty good safety system, and doubtless will save you money in the long term.

On the other hand, the ability to cause IP enabled fuckery with forklifts has the potential to be orders of magnitude worse when the system is compromised...

I'm guessing China isn't as far out of the woods as they say they are.

Yep. I just provide the connectivity. If someone is using password as their password for Crown's management console, not my problem.

I highly highly highly doubt they are reporting accurate numbers. Plus all the fuckery they are pulling with Hong Kong is causing everyone to back out of deals with the US for fear that they may not get their coal. And China is our biggest buyer

Been away from the fork lift industry for 6 years(mostly Yale) and as a tech support person the electronics they were putting on the trucks to be safe was a nightmare. Keytrols, passwords, speed limiters, direction blue back up signals to shine light on the floor, heigth limiters for lift, speed limitimg sensors on steer axles to slow a truck down in turns, auto braking, hill hold, etc, etc. But with all of the technology unfortunately accidents still happen. The one thing they haven't been able to come up with is a "common sense" pill. Glad I'm retired.

We just got the blue lights installed not too long ago. I'm glad they put them on.
