You should research Mantis species on other continents, they hunt small birds.

As they say it is always 1700 hours some place in the world.

It is those that Happy Hour never ends that have problems in some cases

Yup. The good news is that Happy Hour doesn't have to always include alcohol..and it isn't limited to an hour.

Good morning everybody and happy Friday to us working folks!

To the person needing the T-55 torx bit, not so sure I'd buy that at Harbor Freight. I've seen a couple of those where the manufacturing tolerances were off a bit too much and some frustration ensued. Lowe's or even Home Depot might be better choices and they're not that expensive. Consider their jack stand recall.

The ones at Lowe's ain't too bad. I needed a T45 a while back to remove a seat belt bolt on an old Chevy and didn't want to trash my nice Snap-On set using an impact. It held up nicely even after hammering on it with an impact for a long time. Still have it somewhere here. You pretty much need an impact for those bed bolts...

Another Yamaha FJR1300 owner hit me up once regarding a t-50 torx bit that is needed to remove the shifter assembly to get in and lubricate the pivot mechanism. He had a set of bits from HF and called me complaining that on HIS bike that bolt is not a T-50! Insisted someone must have changed it. I suggested he go buy a new T-50 from a more reputable tool manufacturer instead of the cheaply made bit he had. He messaged me the next day that it was indeed a T-50 bolt.

Harbor Freight is good for some stuff and I own a few items from there but when it comes to sockets, wrenches, and hand tools of that nature pony up the money and buy something that will last and is properly made. I have a set of deep well 1/2" drive sockets from HF that were given to me and the 11/16" size is useless as the 1/2" square isn't machined properly and it won't even fit on a ratchet or extension.

Man, I want to go to 35s since I'm going to need new MTs this fall or spring, but regearing is so damn expensive.

Even if I did the work myself I'm still looking at close to 3 grand.

    yuuuup

spent a year prepping for 35s, finally did it, love it, now saving for gears. I actually don’t mind the gears right now. On road use seems to be fine (mpgs are up) as long as you don’t drive like a teenager

Meh, I should just need wheels, a BFH, and probably a CMC.

I drive it like I stole it most of the time so it would probably drive me bonkers. Also I've been doing a lot of interstate travel lately.

Same boat, I was considering just doing it without the front locker, but I know down the road I'll regret that. Doing the payoff mod in a couple months, so maybe in a year or so. Between my road and MTs the 33s should get another year.

I could be interested in the rear drums and brakes. After 6 years I should replace my brakes at some point. Still have a little over 1/8" on the front pads, but it's about time. I'd like to do that before winter and that crud. Rear leaf pack is more important atm though.
