Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! What a gorgeous day!! We were up and out early to crew a hot air balloon flight. We are still only flying crew to keep ourselves trained and safe - hopefully we'll be back to flying passengers soon. Of course, there's always a little champagne when we're done and packed up.

That is one thing I do like about PA. I love that you get to choose whether to wear one or not. I opt to wear one and full leathers, but appreciate that there is a level of personal choice.

 

Good morning everyone! Once more, back to the salt mines!

While I like the idea of personal freedoms I'd really like to see the "no helmet" folks take on a little more personal responsibility and make sure they carry enough insurance to not become a burden to society when their melon gets smashed. Personally I don't need a law to tell me that taking care of myself by wearing a helmet is a good idea. Pretty much an ATTGAT rider myself.

 

There's a reason EMS refer to them as organ donors.

 

For at least 20 years I've listed organ donor on my DL. Figure when I'm done with these parts maybe someone else can still benefit. Not in a hurry to do so but when the time comes......I've also donated several of my old helmets to local Fire Departments and Ambulance crews for training purposes so they can practice helmet removal on accident victims. Too many riders fail to take into consideration that helmets need replaced periodically.

I had a 4 day vacation. Was waiting for my front fender to come in for my motorcycle so I can ride it. Vacation came and went and still no fender. Smh I ordered this 2weeks ago.

 

I'm ready for vacation time. Anything to get away from constantly looking at a screen of some kind. I want to be staring out the windshield of my truck for several days and go somewhere with it.

 

Couldn't agree more! Usually by this time in the year I'd have logged at least 5-7k miles on my motorcycle and be on my second set of tires. This year.......almost nothing. On a brighter side I've now repainted all but one room in my house and that'll get done this coming weekend.

 

About a month for me, going to spruce knob/blackwater falls for a week in late September.

I think I’m gonna take a few days in October and go up to Vermont to see my cousin, he lives near Montpelier.
It’s been years since I’ve seen him face-to-face and although we are not really close he is family and we always have a good time together.

 

I had planned to go to Mt Washington and then to Maine this year, but then the rona happened.

 

I know that feel... I was supposed to go out west for two weeks in June.
We (@6 gearT444E and I) were supposed to do a Colorado/Utah adventure. Now I'll just be happy to go out for a long weekend camping.

 

I like the sound of that trick... cut off two sides to put a wrench on it. My 2 was going to be to suggest drilling down through it to then hammer in one of those bolt extractors after a goodly heating of the site. But is that plastic it goes through there? Wouldn't that melt? Sorry but my 1st gen has a different setup.
