Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! I'm going to pull out the chainsaws and cut some limbs today. Tomorrow we extract honey from some of the hives in our apiary.

For those who enjoy some bourbon, we opened a bottle of Noah's Hill, made by Willett, that we picked up on our last trip down to the Bourbon Trail. Awesome.

 

G’morning fellers.. a wee bit chilly this morning .... probably going to help brother joe cut a fallen oak tree which lies on a bank near the creak. This project should will keep us warm once a game plan is in effect!!

Part of the tree is diverting water elsewhere. We’ll get this water flowing back to normal today .

Morning PA!

Almost lost the Tacoma yesterday by way of a careless driver. Cruisin' down the mountain and around a corner this 4Runner is hauling ass in the oncoming lane isn't paying attention and is almost completely in my lane. I had nowhere to go as I'd slam into the side of the mountain, thus I'd be on the hook for repairs. All I could do was brake hard and brace for impact, but luckily they caught it at the last moment. Definitely had to change my underwear after that.

 

I find this happening more and more and I almost hate driving . You never know who you’re going to run into on the roads and it seems as this scenario is getting more and more popular. Sad to say. Glad all worked out and on your way you went! Enjoy the day!

 

I don't drink alcohol anymore but my neighbor made his own beer and asked me to give a 6pack to my father. Next night seen my father and he was like you gotta try this. I told him I might not like it because I havent drank in 6 years. Let's just say it tasted awesome. Lol but one sip is enough for me. Big props to my neighbor he grew his own hops to make his beer.

Looks like I have a full day ahead of me tomorrow as well.... went to my mother in-laws after brother joes to drain her pool which wasn’t open this year. Siphoned it with her hose that they use to clean the pool with.... should be good to go by tomorrow . Anyway found out her neighbor who had cancer which is now gone, her husband now is diagnosed with throat cancer and has been going through 2 treatments so far... still pending results.

I had payed a visit and some reason there wood pile caught my eye because there was like NO wood stacked. So I asked before I left if I could help with delivering a cord or so of wood since her husband now can’t do anything in his condition. Her face lit up like something finally good is going to happen! Love helping people in need.... so Sunday will be another work day

Yes it is... the older I get the more I give ... nothing makes you feel better than this. Weather should be perfect for such an event and my kids will help lighten the load ;-)

Morning Pa! Beautiful morning, heading to Church, then meeting family for lunch. Hoping for relaxation afterward. Happy Sunday all!

 

Was a complete derp moment

 

Went to brother joes to grab a cord of split wood... stacked it in truck bed and trailer. Pumped air bags up to 40psi which probably was a bit much but that’s ok because when we unloaded and stacked at my in-laws neighbors place which was 30 miles one way, I had borrowed joes Husqvarna 550xp MarkII and cut Up a tree which was already down and ready to harvest. ;-)

Oldest helped me all day, after I cut the wood he had loaded back into my truck and trailer. What a day, I can tell you I need to go back to work to rest ;-). I bet I was heavier going back to joes place to dump the cut wood than I was loaded with the split wood.

Wasent really planning on reloading joes wood pile but it just kinda worked out that way. Took a cord, gave a cord

 

Anyone know of a chainsaw thread that I couldn’t find by searching?
