Finished plowing and shoveling us out, and Lynn's mom's, too. I'd guess we were in the 15 to 18" realm. Plowed late last night and then again this morning. At least the pups enjoyed playing in it this morning.

This is the third year for my Cub Cadet Challenger 750 and this was it's toughest workout - performed like a champ. Our driveway is about 750 ft with to curves and a fairly steep grade in the middle. The Cub has both 2WD and $WD and you can also lock out either the front or back wheels - or both. When I bought it they offered 36 month zero interest financing - just paid it off last week!

Stay safe and warm out there!!!

Only got about 8" here overall in the mountain valley surprisingly. Got the same amount at work as well. Glad the storm tracked more East than what they were predicting! Truck had no problem navigating what the roads threw at me. First time driving it in any measurable amount of snow, so I was pleased. Tried to get a little squirley on the mountain and back roads in some spots, but staying slow and letting the truck do its thing (IE not over-correcting like a tool) did the trick. I think I never went over 35mph, had a couple people pissed at me, but I'm not sending my truck in the ditch! Everybody was actually surprised that I made it to work. One manager said "well if Adam came to work none of you guys have any damn excuse!"

Got both driveways cleared and I'm done for the day. After working all night, coming home, and running the snowblower I'm spent. Couple beers and it's time for a nap! Hope everybody has a good day!

I think we got close to 10-12" of frozen death in my area. I hate the stuff personally. My 1986 Ariens snowblower went through it like a champ though. Made it to work almost on time to find the place deserted. One maintenance guy was there since midnight plowing and salting our lots. He actually opened one of our bay doors and had me park my truck inside. He left around 8:30 and for most of the morning I've been the only one here. Owner just popped in and told me to finish up anything that really needs done then just go home. We've only had 2 phone calls since 7:30 and almost all our guys stayed home so no work getting done here.

I measured a pretty consistent 11" on the railing of my deck.

I know its way to far ahead to trust a forecast, but the kid in me is excited to see a 1-3" forecast on Christmas Day. I feel like this area hasnt had a white Christmas in quite some time.

Oof, sorry you had to go out in this! Times like this makes me glad I'm no longer on call. When I used to work for a company that did contract maintenance I could get woken up at any time of the night. Those 2am wake-up calls sucked!

Surprised you went with a cub and not a kubota, John Deere or a Polaris.... cub dealer must be close?

Not really. I just researched them at the time and they had good reviews - already have a 2004 Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATV. The Cubs are pretty loaded with options including gas adjustable shocks - with the plow, heater and wiper the total cost was $5k to $7 under what I would spend for another brand.

Mine too. I rarely bother to shovel as the 4Runner and the FJ (now 4Runner and Taco) never really had an issue. I park the cars at the bottom of the drive to keep a space clear for company and then move the cars up to the top on the un-plowed section. Shovel a path to the front door. Done.
In fact, I do more shoveling in my yard to make a path for the small dogs than I do in the driveway! :)

I used to shovel the drive so my grandson who lives with me didn't have to walk through high snow (if not shoveled) or on a thin ice sheet after the sun heats it (if shoveled). With him learning remotely, I didn't need to. But I am obsessive compulsive, so I did. o_O I could get a plow, but my riding mower is nearly 20 years old and I think using it as a plow will kill the old gal.

We got about 8" to 10" up on a hill in Berks County. First snowfall of consequence since we paved the driveway. What a treat to clear a paved path versus the old gravel driveway! The snow was pretty dense due to it having changed over to freezing rain/sleet some time during the wee hours. Glad I didn't have to lift much of it with the shovel.

Buried/plowed in at home, and then a nice slow cruise into the plant.

265/75R16 Wildpeak AT3W, Softopper, Kicker speakers, shift knob, Ventvisors, Tint, Husky Weatherbeaters, Hondo Garage radio knobs. The to do list: Bilstein 6112/5160, 3 leaf add-a-leafs, lights, alu skid, PRP seat covers...
I got my wish last night. 23 of my 25 mile drive home at 2am was a minimum of 3" of snow on the road. Wiped the 6" of snow off the softopper and headed home. Only saw one other non-plow truck on the road last night. Lots of ditched and abandoned cars/crossovers. I'm sure that's a pain for the plow bois.

I measured at 1pm today and I had about 9" left. Lots of dripping in the downspouts so my guess is 9.5-10" is what we ended up with.

Got about 5-6 inches with 3/4 inch of sleet and freezing rain on top. Front door was frozen shut. Used the heat gun to defrost it.
