Thanks for he info Adam. I still enjoy driving my '07, but my left knee (clutch) is giving me issues so it's time to switch to an auto trans . Old age is catching up fast. Research on YouTube has given me a pretty good idea on what I want in a truck, now it's just finding one. Thanks for the offer of test driving yours but I'll have to get that from the dealers truck . Having an access cab was handy for packages and grand kids, but now they are grown and if another couple comes along I will have the back seats. The most MPG I ever got was on the turnpike at night with no traffic and ran the cruise control at 65. 22 MPG . Now on average with my lead foot I get between 16 to 19 around town. Good truck but need to let it go. Offered it to @loosnut and waiting to see if he would like to take it for a ride. You have a good night and be safe.

I’ve had my ‘21 Tacoma DCLB Off Road for about 7 weeks, I’m definitely getting OV Tune.
My 08 engine/transmission performed better with 350k miles.

 

I will not really know of any issue because coming from a 2.7L 4 cylinder 5 speed manual trans it is going to be hard to compare. I hope there won't be an issue. Thanks for the info.

 

The transmission seems to be always shifting for the correct gear, especially on a sustained incline. My 08 never did this.

I honestly don't have any issue with my 2020 transmission. There is a new TSB out for the transmission...not even sure I want todo it. And the engine/transmission are much better than my '04 Gen 1.

I have a 2009, 4Cyl, 4wd, Manual Trans with 85k Miles scheduled for a brand new frame, lines, the works. Waiting for that to get done before it goes up for sale.

The missus has to renew her drivers license and she wants to get the "Real ID". She was told at the Driver license center she needed ID such as passport, original social security card and (this I don't understand why) her car registration and auto insurance .
