Will look into that. Appreciate it! Just got off the phone with dealer.. he'll call me back but thinks there may be a short wire harness that can be bought, as he 'doesn't think' the connector is available on its own.

Most often if the connector can be bought it comes with the pins and a short pieces of wire.

 

While I agree with this, it took me less than 5 minutes to exchange it at HF. I'd rather not worry about shipping the old one back and waiting on a new one. Although the Tekton might not have blown apart like the Pittsburgh one. Oh well, made a good excuse to get outta the house and take the new truck for a ride

No idea. I what I got from the phone call was they have to heat up the schmutz, spray it on, then it has to cure

 

Well, I mean it took me 45 minutes to get there. Once I was there it took 5 minutes...

 

Probably the same. Mine is a Tekton #24340, 25 - 250 ft pounds, currently $64.87 on Amazon. When I first opened it I was stunned how nice it both looked and felt in the hand.

The industry I’m in is experiencing the same thing. The dealers and their customers are pissed, we are the distributors and can’t get solid answers from the manufacturers. The manufacturers aren’t immune to the effects of the virus and some have had to cut back production in order to socially distance the workplace.

I think we are all in the same boat I have been telling Customers everyone in the supply chain is just slower adding quite a bit of stacked tolerance.

But to not respond to customer calls and emails is just not right.

 

and that is all.

 

I understand and it completely sucks. It just makes it worse that they give me random ETA dates like 4 times and are never right. Just blows when people I know get the same products within a month or so.

 

Tell them to refund your money and buy from another company. Make sure you ask before ordering if the parts are in stock. Good luck.

 

Machine parts and electronics are a pain in the ass for us right now.

Consumables for the most part are pretty easy though, like chemicals/boxes/cows.
