Oh yes the good old days, then u say heck with it and drive with a small thawed out circle to see through.

 

I have to confess I did that many a times because I am impatient and lazy when it comes t things like this.

 

Lol u gave me a chuckle. I'm thinking we all did , just like snow on the roof and trunk , back window all fogged up .... how did we survive?

 

I keep my scraper in the toolbox.. much better than getting an icy ass.

 

We used to use the scraper on the inside of our old beetle, as we were driving.

 

Yep us too. The good old days? I think not!

 

That's me most days on the commute in. Sadly I have remote start on the DD and never remember to use it unless there is a bunch of snow.

 

Drive Home from Wyoming about this time of year with a heater that started leaking so I looped the heater hoses .

Nice how a Sunny Afternoon got the truck so warm

I was 19 at the time once I got home it was a simple job to solder the heater core.

 

Spent all day in the plow truck at work.... ‘‘twas quiet

I set the e-brake, and drop it into reverse, as I usually park where it won't go far if it wants to. Heats up way faster pushing trans fluid around. An old Pittsburgh trick.

 

I owned a luxury '67 when I was in Germany from '78-'81. It had an OEM fan that blew cold air only onto the windshield. Of course, the cable that shut off the heat was snapped which was fine in winter. In summer, not so much.

We ended up with 6" to 7" of snow over Thursday and Friday. Light and easy to clean up...but I am pretty much done with it for this year. Time for warmer weather!
