    That really sucks. Happened to me a few years ago. My basement is a stone foundation and is not a finished basement so just a few boxes got wet. I hope it didnt mess things up to bad for you

    I hate wind storms. They do the most damage and keep me up at night. Glad no one was hurt. Doing any of the tear-down or build yourself? How about an old fashion ‘barn raising’?

    Floodwaters are my second nemesis. We used to live over on Silver Lake in Bristol. We would get flooded regularly because of being right at the level of the lake on 2nd Ave. And when we moved over to Middletown we get water buildup because we’re halfway down the hill on our street from all the people that live uphill from us. I hate heavy rain. I have to constantly monitor one corner of the house so I don’t get the garage flooded. At least you were able to get a new pump in. The next battle is mildew Huh?
