    Disaster struck this morning. Blew a fuse on our 33kV line and half of the plant was running a phase down. Had to scramble to get everything turned off. Called in the brass balled high voltage guys. They came and replaced the fuse so now we're slowly bringing everything back up. No major damage so far as far as we can tell, but a few blown fuses and a fried contactor. Definitely an interesting day so far. I'm thinking management is gonna make it an early start to the holiday weekend for the operators.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians and Happy Saturday!! It's been raining steadily since about 3 AM so I slept in until 5 hoping it would stop before I walked the dogs. Still raining at 5 so out they went. No caulking or painting today. I guess I'll work on taking apart the huge cedar closet my father in law built in the stable.

    Yesterday, I worked in Lynn's greenhouse tightening up the polycarbonate windows and then ran the electrical line for a switch and hung the chandelier a friend gave her for the upper front window. I left the protective plastic sheet on the outside of the windows until we get done caulking and painting but it came out pretty good. I bought some stuff to repair the cracks in the concrete. Pretty amazing what the weight of a 30 foot cedar will do when it hits a building. I'm amazed that it didn't crush it.
