Wheels took longer than I thought they would. I was fighting like Hell on some fish-eyes from some contamination or primer mis-match. Finally had to get the old bonding primer out and it finally stopped. They aren't perfect, but look better than all that corrosion that was there... Don't know what I would done without the ol' Snap-On die grinder with a stripping wheel...

Don't know why, but this picture just says to me "because racecar"

Eagle Talon, which is a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Chrysler and Mitsubishi had a joint venture back in the day called DSM (Diamond Star Motors). It's a weird mix of parts, kinda like AMC back earlier before this car.

    o_O :smack:

That's one of the things I hate about these cars; timing belts. Even this non-turbo 420A is a interference timing belt. It was just replaced in October 2020, but with a Autozone Duralast belt. Not too keen on that. It's easy enough to time though so I might throw a Gates or Continental kit this winter.

With the exception of a chance of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon the balance of this weeks weather looks promising.
Hope to get a bike ride in on the trail tomorrow morning before work.
Seriously need to do something about this Covid weight gain, I barely fit into some of my clothes. :pout:

I see you outdoor guys and sometimes envy you on the fine days of the early spring.

My entire working life was spent indoors and it was always hot and miserable in the summer -- however, if I got an outside job I would probably be dead in 3 days max.

 Respect for the summer outdoor man!

I love all the seasons but they all have certain things that aren't fun when you work outside. I do love being outside though I did 13 years of dock work and it was the same fork lift and same thing ever night. Now everyday is different, there is some repetitive stuff but not as bad

I knew a guy that restored a couple of those. Haven't talk to him in years but they're cool little tractors

Had a great road trip today, ripped across eastern NY and into Connecticut to buy (yet) more vintage engines. I got them from a nice young fellow who runs a machine shop/fab shop/custom car shop.
24 mpg on the first tank, not bad for running at 70-71. (you don't speed much in a bright orange truck) 560 miles round-trip.

My days were never the same, we had new disasters and bad decisions daily.:rofl:

I only had 4 pieces of equipment outside, they only failed on the hottest or coldest days of the year -- depending on what was less convenient.
Outside furnace (1985) serving 3/4 of the plant -- coldest.
Air conditioner serving "the office" -- hottest. (talk about unhappy people )

Air conditioner for shop floor -- well, there wasn't one...:bananadead:

A least it kept things interesting for you:rofl:. Where I worked doing dock work was great but when you could look outside and see those great days and I was stuck inside is when it got to me. The place I work got sold to overseas manufacturer so it sucked, I thought I'd retire from there but It got me outside. The place was Pfaltzgraff some people might of heard of them we made dishes and stoneware
