So many options for lifts these days and still researching on what exactly fits my needs. I have the high lift door opener and about 12' - 6" in height for the garage ceiling.

Look at all that lovely empty space!! :woot:Nice!
I haven't seen that much floor here in years. :pout:

As long as you have a full 12 feet you are pretty much golden for any style lift.

Drive on and 2 post both have advantages and disadvantages, really depends on what you want to do most often.

I found a place that sells fluid film in a spray can. I might attempt that

    Well, what an awesome day...

Decided that I should get working on the daily van as it has sat in the garage since May with the brakes acting up.

First I backed the van into the forklift which was sitting there minding it's own business. Didn't hurt the forklift, it is about 4500 pounds of solid steel. Cracked up the paint on the bumper of the van. -- OK it wasn't my expensive and mostly plastic truck so ok.

Then I unboxed the struts I purchased (6 months ago) and noticed that they were slightly different, like right box wrong part different...

Loud not family friendly words echoed around the garage as I swore with gusto. :censored::censored::censored:

Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

The one on the right fits a Buick car by the way, the last Buick I had was built in 1976.

I would take that deal also if I weren’t so far away. The company I work for starts technicians with no experience out at $21/hr.
I’ve been in the same position for 19 years at this company and if they actually give us a pay increase this year I’ll hopefully get up to the pay rate of those new hires with no experience.
    :( :annoyed:

Can't like that... I can sympathize however, my last job was a family (not mine) company. For years "things are slow, money is tight" was the policy. They would tell the new hires "...we will see how you do and then raise you up..." Ah, yeah -- right. The "see how you do" period was measured by decade.

I decided against buying the cap. The guy lowered the price to $450 even, but I would have no way to take it off or put it back on the truck by myself, so I figure I will get a soft topper down the road. In case anybody is looking for a black 3rd gen long bed cap, here is his Facebook listing.
