I can’t completely blame the current owners, the previous owners didn’t give anyone a raise for 7 years, so that didn’t help when the new guys bought the company. Just such a large wage gap that I guess it takes time for them to catch us up to their current wages.

 

That's really cool. I like reading the old pamphlets that come with older stuff

I was in Sam's Club and there was an older gent demonstrating knives, he was a genuine pitchman right out of an old movie, a real pleasure to watch. I didn't buy any knives naturally (I have a full set from the Goodwill store after all) but I did stay and have a visit with him after. He was retired and just did it for fun and easy money.

Holy crap that's shitty!

I was making $21 at my last job, but I was considered just a mechanic. Job I'm at is a good bit more and I'm only mid level.

If you were closer to me I'd try and point you in the direction of where I'm at.

 

I’m probably going to have to start looking for something else at some point in the near future. I actually had a headhunter call me today to see if I wanted to apply for a job doing basically the same thing I’m doing now, but the pay was $28/hr. He said he would email me the details and to call him back after I looked over them. I called him back 2 hours later and he informed me the job had just been filled.

 

With all the bad press we hear it is easy to turn a little hard, a little cold, to lose sight of the positives.

She makes me smile, every now and then something works out right, gives us some hope for tomorrow.

Going good last day of physical therapy is this coming Monday. Got pretty much all my range of motion back in my elbow now it's just st building the strength back to were it was before. Still a few things I can't do at work for extended periods but but goin good

 

Moving forward is a good thing Greg. Keep pushing!

That's a damn shame that companies do that. I picked up a lady that's a cna and she told me she makes 15.50hr and the company she works for are hiring cnas now for 20hr.

 

Another thing to note is. That I've found jobs in pa that pay more then New Jersey and New Jersey cost of living is by far more expensive then pa. It's crazy too me that pa has higher paying jobs and the cost of living isn't anywhere near the cost of living then it is here. Mind boggling
