All by your lonesome? I do it alone SOMETIMES BUT prefer splitting with friends, family and beer :D

maybe picture deceiving. Not a 3pt splitter, a 37 ton tow behind from northern tool. I would not be a fan of the idling on my machine either which is why I went with the separate splitter. I think it has better resale value too since many folks don’t have a 3pt hitch and PTO setup.

when I tend to ask for help, people scatter like cock roaches

Good help hard to find, even when giving out free beer.

37 ton splitter!! Brother joe has a 27 ton and that seems to do the job nicely EXCEPT, it’s SLOW…. Sometimes we use my buddys dads home made splitter…. No beer with that one! It’s like running a lot splitting marathon!! Can’t stack it fast enough if ya got 3 people ….

splitting a gum tree is rough. Need a lot of umph. It has the wings that you can bolt onto the wedge, that cuts the time to do splittin in half!

No, it’s the real deal. $10 per sq. ft.

very stringy. You have to split it when fresh otherwise it’s even worse. We cut this tree down about 3 weeks ago. This was the pile of scraps that came from splitting, filled my whole fire pit up.

I have some black walnut to cut up at dads, white birch at a customers place and then a whole bunch of splitting to do afterwards

nice! I’ve got about 2 more cords of oak to split and then onto the stacking. Been waiting for the weather to break like we had today.

Driving is the really only thing I do just for enjoyment, all I need is an destination and a CD player.
To go 100 miles eat lunch and turn around makes perfect sense to me.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

I decided to opt for observing the Sunday day of rest so it's back to (retired) work today. Finally going to cut the grass - 3 hours of listening to music.

I put a new solar cover on the pool yesterday. It was supposed to arrive on Saturday - Fedex delivered it yesterday afternoon. It needs to be cut down just a bit so I'll let it sit on the pool and then trim off the overlap that's on the walkway on two sides after it warms up later today.

    Be safe out there!!

Good morning. The wife's Rav4 is due for one of those courtesy checks at the dealer. They do the oil change and rotation for free, so a trip into the city is forthcoming. I am going with her and I think we are going to find a place to eat lunch, just to make it a day.

sounds like a good way to kill a few hours. Just don’t listen to whatever they write you up at the end. Remember you are a customer they’re trying to sell the most expensive fix to.

Morning all. @RustyGreen Leftover biscuits from Cracker Barrel this am for breakfast. My Amanda and I both had the country sampler, what a pile of food! Plenty of leftovers for lunches today and tomorrow. Bought and delivered two chicken and dumpling meals with two sides, biscuits, cornbread and salads for my Dad and Stepmom. Stepmom had her knee replaced last Monday. So we tried to brighten their day with food. Was Amanda's idea, she's an awesome woman! Not sure what's she's doing with me? LOL

Thanks. they are usually quick about things. The challenging thing is, many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so the choice may be limited.

The car is just over 1 year old and has maybe 6000 miles. I am not expecting any problems.
