I was brutally honest; I told him I was pissed because I was just trying to do my job and I had "some random guy in a Jeep" confronting me for doing so; He again said that he owned the property and I said that I didn't realize this because as far as I knew the owner of the property drove "a Thunderbird that looks like a pimpmobile" (seriously, he does) and that I'd never actually met him before...

Simple mistake as far as I'm concerned! And FYI, I don't care if you're the owner of the property or the supreme overlord of the universe; You confront me like a douchebag when I'm trying to do my job, and then expect me to be nice...?

I don't think so!

 

You can't make this shit up. I ordered these windshields last Thursday and more excuses from the warehouse.
And I'm probably gonna lose this account now because of this warehouse screwing me I've had to reschedule twice now. This would be a third time.
This would be a huge commercial account that I've been trying to get and now this is what I'm dealing with. I'm super stressed out because of all this

 

So yeah, simple misunderstanding that could have been handled much better by both sides, but I find it hard to believe that I've been working there since September 2019 and my truck was literally in that parking lot almost every day from September 2019 to just this past spring (with the exception of March-June 2020 when I was furloughed due to COVID), and he didn't realize I worked there! And I say again, my distinctive silver Tacoma is backed up to those same dumpster at least once a week!

 

SMH, only hope the big guys are experiencing the same issues that keeps u on a level playing field. Hang in there.

 

Wow, didn't hear that. Stinks there are no real decent east coast fabricators for our trucks it seems again then.

 

Pennsyltucky here, near Ricketts Glen SP… the land of on-road off-road due to the excessive amount of potholes which by far outnumber the smooth pavement square footage 10:1

Here's one for the "WTF" books...

I have a FanPole hitch-mount flag pole and a 3x5 American flag that I mount to it; With the 20th anniversary of 9/11 fast approaching, I've been flying the flag on my truck all week...

Today, I was on Street Road driving to work and there's this little old lady and a man who was probably in his 50s or 60s (much younger than her) walking in the opposite direction on my side of the street...

Little old lady gives me a look of pure blistering fury and flips me off, no reason; There was no approaching traffic, so I went into the opposing lane to give them space, and this is when she flipped me off...

Getting flipped off by pedestrians and other motorists when you're driving is a fact of life, even for the best drivers, but this kinda set me off...

I made U-turn and went back to ask her what her problem was; I didn't get out of the truck or go anywhere near her...

She totally denied having flipped me off, even though I saw her do it and my dashcam did as well. She did actually apologize and then went right back to denying it; The guy she was with said nothing. She said have a nice day and I just drove off...

I'm more dumbfounded than pissed off at this point!

Last February, I gave some neighborhood kids a piece of my mind for throwing snowballs at my truck; You'd be amazed how quickly they changed their tune when I told them "Mommy and daddy will being paying for any damage caused to my truck, and it will likely come out of YOUR allowance"...

Problem solved; No problems for the rest of the winter!

 

From what I have seen the OP has started his own business not to long ago.

I have seen the little new business get orders pushed back if there was any sort of supply and demand problems by the distributors .

The sad part it would be so very difficult to prove .

I have seen former employers not liking the competition cause interesting problems.

Lets hope the OP can get through this and keep going

I am just shocked that all I am trying to do is honor the victims of 9/11 and it offended somebody who looked old enough to have been alive during WWII...

 

People have the right to be offended, and we as people also have the right to not care they are offended. It goes both ways.
