Work was going to invest in establishing a NG virtual pipeline in Loganton but apparently that town will fight anything to do with my company.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Bunch of idiots. That would be a blessing to any community. It's a generational thing I'm sure. Try again in 10 years and see how it goes.

When I moved here nearly 29 years ago, there was an oil furnace. We had to replace that one a few years later. In 2016 we needed another furnace. I researched and found that propane was cheaper, although it may not burn as hot. Additionally, we got a heat pump, which provides heat to the house when it is 35 degrees or higher, as well as serves as an air conditioner. The fact that my oil tank was buried under my porch was another factor which helped me make my decision. I feared the tank would leak someday into the basement and leach into my well water. When we changed over, we emptied the oil tank and filled it with sand. The propane tank is above ground and easy to read. By the way, the same place where I got the propane today had oil for $2.42/gallon, so that's a 45 cents difference, or $180 per tankful, as my propane tank holds 400 gallons. Again, the oil does burn hotter, which my wife misses.

There are no natural gas lines in my area. The house was built in 1961 and had a coal cellar. Then it appears most moved to oil, as all my neighbors had and most still do have an oil tank. As I posted, I switched over to propane and a heat pump a few years and couldn't be happier. The oil burns hotter but had a certain odor, one I didn't mind but it was noticeable if some spilled out during the fill or when I was servicing the furnace. My oil furnace was easy to service, just a few parts that even a non mechanical guy like I could do.

The company that provides my propane owns the tank, but they do not charge a leasing. We did pay $100 for them to run the line to the house and put on a connector valve just outside the house that resembles a NG meter, and then feed it to the furnace, with a shut off inside of course. I didn't think that was an excessive charge.

My taco turns 4 this year. Hardly believe that. Been with my (actual) girlfriend for 6 years, the taco is just my side squeeze. Now the question is..ring or upgrade my suspension? (She doesn't like that joke).

Just bored today. Got hit by a car riding my bike home from work yesterday and my wrists and knees are screwed up so I cant walk around and I can't play with my tools. Can't even work the clutch pedal. Since I'm not married yet, I don't even have a honey-do list that I'm getting out of. Sucks. I'm sure a lot of people have it worse.
