Ouch. I've gone through that and definitely not fun. That was all the motivation I needed to add a lot of water into my diet and knock on wood I haven't had one since.

 

@steelcity2, good luck with the diet and exercise. From my experience, the diet is first and foremost. I have walked up to 4 miles a day, every day for months at a time, but if I eat a bunch afterwards, the weight doesn't go away.

 

Thanks. The older I get I do notice that about the weight. Plus I'm less active at work and more lazy at home. What sucks is I love to eat. Like that full stomach feeling, don't want to waste anything.....

 

True, all of it.
My parents grew up during the depression, we never wasted anything.
Unfortunately eating has always been one of the few things I'm really good at...

I have the appetite of an 18 year old steel mill worker --- and the metabolism of a 60 year old accountant.

 

My mother grew up in Post-war Germany. NOTHING went to waste in our house growing up.

 

That was a bad habit some of us older people picked up can`t leave the table to your plate was cleaned.

another thing was the fast forced eating in school you had 30 minutes which was much closer to 15 or 20 minutes

 

So the pharmacist confirmed the new shingles shot is more effective. I have to get a booster or follow up in 2- 6months, then this shot should be good for a lifetime. She said I can still get shingles after that, but it will be much milder, I guess like some people are seeing with the COVID vaccines.

Decided to work up the courage to take the Talon out on a longer trip over the mountain since the wiring and sensor issues I've had for the past 4 months. Despite a little stumble it ran better than it has been so that's good. Pissed off a biker as I smoked him out going down the mountain on the trip home. Sorry bud, she's a little worn out and smoky.Was about a 60 mile overall trip and it is deemed successful... Now to procrastinate the rest of the day

 

Ditto, plus the other (anti)stroke meds. My dream of heading off in to the woods was crushed as now I am "one of those medicated folks", tethered to an Rx. Oh well, a good excuse to drive the truck down from the mountain and into town.

 

Well it appears it's that time of year, these little buggers are back...




Also appears the spotted lanternfly had made its way to Maryland. Co-worker found one outside the shop the other day. Wasn't aware they made it this far yet. Unless it hitched a ride on one of the freight trucks that day.

Found that my 2019 windshield leaks. Directly in front of the driver. The only evidence is the trail (dirty window!). I thought it was on the outside from the roof...but it ain't. Must have been from that heavy rain. Kind of annoying and I know that the dealer will say that they sprayed it with a garden hose and seems OK or some other lame response.

 

Don't clean ur windshield! You have proof.

 

Up grade to larger and new Battery cables .

I end up doing them all All the Grounds The positive to the starter positive to the fuse Block

 

They’re not a big problem like they tried to make them seem. Local wild life figured out they can actually eat them
