bout a 1/2 hour ago we got a brief, but heavy rainstorm out of the blue. It was forecasted at all. Weird. Now the grass really needs cut.

Funny, I have said the same thing about winning -- however I'm way to cheap conservative to play.

 

Figured I would post here before trying the marketplace. 5 TRD pro wheels 16x8 0 offset 4.5 bs. Tires are pretty well worn, but would probably pass inspection. Tpms included. I'm thinking $750 obo. Local pick up or tw express.

We extracted 2 5 gallon buckets of honey plus a little more yesterday. We'll get a bit more as we strain it out of the wax residue. Letting it settle out for now and I think we'll strain it once more before we bottle it.

I also finally got my former-government M1911A1 yesterday. It is, as I expected, a Frankenstein of parts: 1945 Remington Rand frame, Colt replacement slide, post-WWII barrel (chrome lined which is superb) and a mainspring housing that dates to '43. These things saw service until 1985 and went through re-builds and local armorer parts replacements to keep them going. Just like I carried during the first 7 years I was in the Army. I'll go down to my little range and fire it today. A sweet piece of history.

Good morning all! So far as work is concerned today is my Friday this week. Was supposed to leave out tomorrow morning on the bike for a long distance motorcycle rally, kind of like a scavenger hunt, but a shortage of staff led the host hotel for the finish of the event cancel out on us forcing the event to be cancelled. Fortunately some of the riders in the event have offered to open up their home Saturday for a cookout so Dianne and I are taking the long way and leaving out Friday morning to ride Skyline Drive before heading over to the cookout.
