Half a day today, headed over the hill with my boy. Set up a doghouse in new location yesterday after work. Fifteen minutes after we set it up, big doe comes out feeding, just milling around. Hoping to see the Bruiser. Happy Thursday all!

If anyone is looking for a “project”, my neighbor is selling his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with 115,000 miles for $4,995. Sticker in the window says “transmission slips sometimes”. He said it can go weeks months without them it happens. B60A0B54-5BC5-4E6F-9836-629DF3424007.jpg

    Good morning, fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!!

Bought a new scraper bar for the UTV plow yesterday - think I'll wait until next week when its in the 50s/60s to put it on.

We winterized the bees, too. Pulled the mite treatment strips, put back the supers we'd saved with honey in them for food, then put on a spacer with some cloth inside to absorb moisture - the major killer of bees in the winter, and put on the mouse guards. Happily the hives were filled with bees...who were not at all happy that we were messing with them. I'll go back today and ratchet strap each hive to ensure they don't blow over.

Time to start mulching up some leaves, too.

    Enjoy the day!!

Good morning. Grandson is going to his first school dance tonight, 7th grade. He's getting old and I'm getting too old.

I’ve been getting gas at a Gulf in Delaware, it’s $0.15/gal cheaper than other places in De. I got a $100 Gulf gift card… what a nightmare to use the card! I’m not doing that again.
    Rant over….
    Good morning Pa.

I used to go to Ohio on occasion to get gas, about 12 miles each way. At times, hit was 50 or 60 cents cheaper. The last time I went though, it was only about a dime cheaper, not worth the drive, unless I have to shop for food. I just Googled searched and it is about 22 cents cheaper today, but when ever since I went to the one gas station there about a month ago, my gas mileage has noticeably dropped, about 2 miles per gallon. I don't know why. The station was a BP and the one I use 1 1/2 miles down the road is a Shell.

I drive across the Mason Dixon line sometimes to fill up, go out to eat, shop and grab some booze. Last time I filled @ BP, it did not seem to run as well. So I avoid BP if possible.

Morning Pa. No kill @ the cabin yesterday, but a very good day! I saw a pile of deer, 3 buck. Only buck that came in shooting range was one I call 'Texas Longhorn' Spike buck, nice big bodied very dark deer for our area. Head down he was on the trail! My Boy saw one of the big bucks hunting out of new doghouse location, I haven't named this one yet. Just outside of shooting range. Proud of him being patient not taking the long shot. Back @ the cabin, he was so excited, talking 100 MPH. Sad because of work, he can not get out with us until next week sometime. Tomorrow morning I am picking Dad up, headed over. Going to put Dad in the doghouse, would be awesome if he can bust something. I have harvested so many that anymore, I enjoy watching the excitement of others fill their tags. Hope that doesn't sound strange. But anyhow, come on 2:30 and happy Friday all!

Yeah, I'm going to stick the the Shell just down the road. I get 5 cents off every gallon and don't drive too much, so it probably isn't worth the effort to cross the state line, even when it is significantly cheaper, especially if I am losing 2 mpg.
