    I'm a tenth of a mile off the "main" dirt road, I have cleared a Cherokee size path through 20" deep snow down to the main road with a 24" 6HP Ariens built in 1968. It was a long morning...

    Have I mentioned how much I despise snow.:annoyed:

    My drive is about 350'. I think it was a sheet of ice from December where we had those good storms last year till like March. I live on the north side of a hill, nothing gets sun in the winter.

    Good morning Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

    Our driveway is a bit over 700' with a pretty significant uphill turning grade. Luckily, it gets the morning sun...when we have sun here in winter...which normally keeps it from icing up for too long. That's why I have the heated cab UTV and, now, a snowblower, to clear the snow.

    According to the weather report, we have had less than 2 inches so far, so, even with this one coming, we are far below average. I have 4 bags of ice melt sitting in my garage and I hope to have most of them for next winter. ;)

    When I was young and working a production line we rotated jobs every break.
    All the jobs were busting @$$ except one: sit in a corner on a stool and check part numbers -- it was hot and boring, until I realized I made exactly the same wage as when I was busting. Job was much easier after that! :)
