That’s the latch to open my cap. It’s supposed to be pulled down but some clown tried to force it up and almost broke it

it looks less noticeable in a picture but it feels like it’s ready to fall off at any point

Man that sucks, yeah the dealers are dumb I don’t trust them to even sell me the right part let alone install it. Why were they going into your cap?

Got to the coin-op pressure washer today to get the salt off. Looks so good I don't want to drive it until spring now.

Anyone wanna be my chauffeur for the next couple months?

There’s an easier solution, just buy a beater and put the taco in the car hole.

If you need to travel overnight or in the morning be careful, just cleared off 1/2" of sleet, ice off the truck and carport. Everything in encased in this shit.

About to leave for work. My home temp is showing 32 degrees but I hear ice rain hitting the windows. If it's to bad I'll turn around.

If it's as bad as it is in my neighborhood you might want to call off. A good 3/4" of frozen rain, sleet and ice on the main winter snow emergency route that's the main road out in front of my house and the salt trucks have been going by every 30 minutes not even doing anything to it. Cleared another 1/4" of sleet off the carport when I just went out there. Saw a car go by with a left front flat tire, busted up front-end and it sounded like he ripped the exhaust off as well on whatever he slid in to.

 wow. I'm glad I didn't read this until I got to work! But drive in wasn't all that bad. Only slipped a couple of times. Drove cautious. Took my time. Heck rt 51 was 45 mph, basically all wet . When I left my house it was 32 and mostly rain with a little sleet but gradually the roads became more sleet than wet which was fine cause it gave you some grip. By the time I hit Oakland it was 27 degrees. Roads mostly sleet covered then. I would say west Mifflin to city was sleet covered. Didn't see 1 salt truck !!! Drove the beater in, my electric leaf. But I've read it here over and over the key is good tires. I have 4 snow tires on it and that really helps. Oh well off to the grind. Drive safe everyone.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

We've been getting sleet for a few hours but the ground temp is just starting to get down to freezing. Just a but of slippery slush when I walked the dogs a few minutes ago. Our prediction is for sleet/freezing rain until sometime after noon today. Luckily, we don't need to go anywhere....for a few days.

Be safe if you have to go out!!

I have no idea. I locked it just to make sure they wouldn’t since they had no business in there. Good thing I unloaded all my tools.

I was only there for some warranty work too

Glad you got to work safely @steelcity2 . We always seem to get slammed worse than most of Pittsburgh in our valley that feeds right up from the river and ends at the bottom of Riverview Park.

Just went out to check again. Another 1/4"+ of heavy sleet carefully broken apart and cleared off the carport with the extendable 36" push broom. Don't need the portable carport collapsing under the weight, it was seriously sagging each time I cleared it. Luckily though it looks to be hopefully changing fully to snow for now. I'll go chip away at the frozen Tacoma Baja T/X in a couple hours, it's completely encased in solid ice.

Main road is steel covered in ice and sleet but now it's getting hidden by a blanket of snow. Going to be alot of accidents by my place today with the steep long hill leading upto Perrysville Ave with all the tight curves.

Don't mind the wrecked truck out front, it's my neighbor/ landlords customers vehicle. He does frame and body repair, one of the best frame guys around western Pa.. All the shops bring him their worst wrecks to fix, that one is a quick fix/easy though. LOL

Today could be an adventure. Hopefully the eastern part of the state doesn't get quite as much ice as everywhere else or I might not make it home until tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Good morning. We got our share of ice, but, fortunately, the power stayed on.
