I'm from Uniontown. I used to work in Cranberry, not too far from SRU.

 

To Homer and anyone near by, what are your opinions on the Bristol area for homes? Looked around Levittown, nice area but all the houses are the same. Bristol has some more unique options it seems.

 

It will make you glow and get cancer...... one of top 20 most radioactive sites due to old Nike missile bases also has 18 superfund sites.

My grandparents lived there for over three decades and I think you would be better off drinking water right out of the Salem Nuclear plant's cooling pool.

Most of Bristol is the armpit of Bucks County I'm afraid.
Levittown has some nicer neighborhoods but as you said - the homes are all the same for the most part.
You'll get some more variety in Bensalem but it's hit or miss on the "quality" of the area.

 

Good to know, thank you both. I mean it will be our first home so we can't say we are expecting a lot, but it will likely be a location we spend 5-10 years at.

 

I grew up in the Allegheny/Beaver/Butler County area, and travel out there often to visit friends and family.
Not sure why, but the PA thread has been quiet lately, probably since the NJ thread has been such an entertaining derpfest, and it's a snowy winter.
It used to be open land to dirtbike, snowmobile, bonfire and drain kegs around what is now the interchanges at 79 & 19 & 76, now it is all retail.
There should be some great trails of to the east of Uniontown, IIRC there's Ohiopyle and a couple more state gamelands off of route 40.

 

Been up here in williamsport for school anyone from around that area. I need of another tacoma brother. Everyone laughs at my little truck til they're stuck and I pass them

 

You're a half hour from me. I live just south of lock haven. As well as tacticalbacon13. He does a meet at his camp a couple times a year.

I spotted one just like that in Cranberry a while ago

 

I'm about 45 minutes due south. I literally never go to williamsport if it can be avoided though.

I work in Loganton which is much closer to most of the guys in this area I think.
