Too clean and dry with today's weather to have been outside for long.
That and the one I'm holding came running up to me when I got out of the work truck.

Good job on the rabbit save, hope you can find good homes for them.
And yes, animals are way better than a lot of people out there.

I like to think that higher power/fate/karma will give special attention to people who are cruel to animals -- I'm not wishing bad on them mind you as that wouldn't be kind of me -- just that they get special attention...

Try to find a local 4H club near you - they may have a rabbit/small animal group and if not, likely know of another local 4H club that does small animals/bunnies. Some young child might be thrilled to have these bunnies.

 

By the way, even though I now live in Ohio, I was born in Pittsburgh & grew up in Carnegie & went to Penn State (main campus) for 4 years before getting a job in Ohio. Also own a cabin near Tionesta in Forest County so I still have my "Pennsylvania" connections!!!

Good morning all. Spent over $21 yesterday refilling my motorcycle and it still had over a gallon in it at the time and uses 87 octane! Glad it gets around 42-45 mpg though.

 

Update:
4-H will not take them (wouldn’t even answer the phone… resorted to animal control).
She was able to get ahold of the SPCA who will take them at noon, turns out they’re all at a staff meeting at a different shelter.

friends bringing me a bigger cage, more hay and newspaper so they’re more comfortable. And we can get them water.

I’ll take a nap then go up to the shelter at 11:30, hopefully to be home long enough to take a nap before work tonight.

 

Ordered fuel oil again this morning, $4.69 a gallon right now

 

Yea... This should be the last fill-up for a while as winter is almost over. Just using the boiler for hot water during the Spring/Summer.

 

Gotta upgrade my electrical service first, can't handle the extra load of a electric hot water heater right now. Working on trying to get that done

 

Either way, you’re spending money on oil or electric. Pick you poison because both are getting more expensive

 

You got a point! There's no tempering valve on the tankless coil in the boiler there so the water is super friggin' hot!

So true. I have DLC. They got a rate increase at the end of 2021 or the beginning of this year. My monthly bill is $15-$20 higher, per month.

Morning all. Hope everyone had a good weekend. I found out over the weekend that we will be traveling 8 - 10 weekends this spring and summer for my sons basketball. As close as Philly and a far as Kansas City and Atlanta. I will finally be able to see what the truck does on the highway instead of just around town driving.
