After getting out there and shoveling, I would say we got about 7 inches too. The official amount at the airport was 7.5 inches. It is a heavy snow. I am taking a break from the driveway and the wife jumps out there to get it done. She is a worker, always has been.

And just like that the power is out.

There's about 4" of snow already, in about 2-1/2 hours. Wow.

On the other side of the fence, I happen to like daylight savings clock changes. It's actually natural to start the day earlier as they get longer. Anyone who has spent time with livestock will tell you that they shift their internal clocks earlier all by themselves. The one hour jump is the irritating part, though I've learned to start shifting my sunrise clock 15 mins earlier each week during lent, and that has made a huge positive difference. I also like the time shift when working outside, as the late afternoon in the summer can be a sauna. I also change the clocks around suppertime so I have a few hours in the evening to make the mental shift. Spring is right around the corner, and expect the onion snow to visit before Easter.

Spring has already sprung on the 1st of March. The earlier plants have emerged from the ground, and some birds have begun building nests.

Yup in my attic I hear them chirping away when I go up there. The attic in my house is the computer room. It's a finished attic. I can hear them in my walls. Now that I have this pest job I can get rid of them. Or not don't really care they don't bother me much

We got maybe an inch of snow here in Bucks County.
It’s already melted off the streets & driveways so no need to shovel. :D

My tire switchover dates are Tax Day and Thanksgiving Day.

Power went back on, off, and back on again. Still on. The wind has died down so I think we're good.

    Can't like that.

The mailbox was on the corner of my dead end road.
First year here: Town was pushing back the banks with a loader, the backhoe knocked off the mailbox, I beat it back in shape and attached to the pole really well.

Second year: Backhoe again hit the (well attached) mailbox, flattened it -- but it stayed on the pole.
Rural mailboxes are surprisingly expensive I discovered. :notsure:

Third year: Someone put a 1/4 stick in my (brand new :annoyed:) mailbox, I call the one (backwater) "town cop":
Rusty: Someone blew up my mailbox.
Cop: Damn, that's the third one today...
Rural mailboxes are indeed surprisingly expensive...

Fourth year: Got authorization from PO to move mailbox to in front of the house, 25 years later it is still out there.
