Curiosity now engaged -- what do you do?

 

I'm a wetland scientist/biologist! I found a way to get paid to walk around outside and in the swamps all day and look at cool stuff. Not a bad way to pay the mortgage and sink money into a truck.

 

It's easier to just imagine that this is me.

Anyone looking for a backrack? I have one, and it comes with extra mounting brackets. Asking $275, all hardware included. The bad: I drilled 6 holes in it, I repainted it when I drilled as I didn’t want rusting. I only put electrical tape over the holes after removing, as I figured the new buyer may put lights and such as well as I did. Message me or quote the post. Thanks y’all.

I need one of them turtles here . They are putting 300 acres of solar panels across the road from my house . Tons of wetland involved . Maybe an endangered turtle will put a halt to it

 

ouch they are pricey. If someone wants a set I can replicate what I have here for a beer or three. Stop down and I’ll install too. I made mine out of aluminum because salt belt, Here’s a pic , mounts behind the flare. 6 or 7 years later and they’re holding up just fine.

Good morning all. Hope everyone had a good weekend. This was our last idle weekend for a while, hope its the last for the snow and cold.

 

My contribution to the turtle-talk. From August last year.

 

We have wetlands on our property. All sorts of cool stuff going on there. It is wild to see water-plants growing in the middle of the woods. If you are quiet, you can hear the water running under the boulders and stuff. Weird that it is at the top of the property, quite a bit higher than the cabin. I'll not be paying you to walk around there though!

 

Big pileup on I-81, 20+ vehicles including a state police car. Stay safe out there folks.

People need to stop filming and helping others get to safety. I've driven truck for 23 years and luckily never been in a pile up but I've come up on them and avoided crashing because I keep my distance and have my CB on especially in low visibility situations like this. First thing I did is safely park my rig or 4 wheeler (which ever I'm driving at the time) off to the side of the road passed it if I could get passed and started setting up triage further down the road with people involved. I've seen some nasty things over the years.
