A little over 2 hours to "city center".

Don't think I want to put a cap on the second gen. It has the bigger bed which is handy for mulch and the like. Now if this was a 3rd gen cap, I'da took money outta savings immediately and hit the road! Kicking myself for not getting Blue's cap...

Yeah compared to what I paid new I give that cap away. Had carpet and tracks on the roof and everything. Army guy from Virgina drove up to purchase and had painted in like 3 days. Good fellow with young family and a dog. I felt good about the sale.

Yup! The installation went excellent and looks great! Well worth waiting a little bit for! Now I get to drop another grand installing an electric water heater and abandon the tankless coil in the boiler. The boiler is expensive to run (non-heating months) and also never had a tempering valve installed so the temperature is erratic. Low cutoff is 115° and high limit is 175° so the water goes from luke warm to burn your skin off a couple times during a shower.

At least the electric is a one and done task, now you will have plenty of capacity for the new shop, big air compressor, welder, plasma cutter -- you know :spending: just like always. :fistbump:

Hah, spending MY money I see

My little 120 volt mig welder does what I need to. My 21 Gallon Harbor Freight compressor also powers my air impacts and air hammers real well so for the time being I'll keep it. Eventually when I get the means to build a shop I'll just have it on its own separate service. There's a transformer right infront of my house and a pole at the corner of my property so that wouldn't be a hard thing to do. Although part of me wants to keep my land intact. Maybe if Mr. Fries can spare me an acre and a half though... :spy:

To consider: Some electric companies won't give you the "residential rate" for an outbuilding service. If your power comes from your house you can use as much as you want with no penalty.

My garage (Penelec) has a separate electric service and I am billed as "General Secondary - Small", the problem with that is if I use over 700 kw in two consecutive months they will raise me up to "General Secondary - Medium" which is demand metered.

This means I am charged a multiplier for the spike (demand) that occurs when a motor like the air compressor, well pump or even the furnace starts. If they were ever to start simultaneously that would be a large multiplier.

Doing this in May/ June and can't wait! PECO is running natural gas to the house and I'll bereplacing my oil furnace with natural gas and a separate gas water heater. As long as I get those installed within a year, no charge for the labor to run the line to the house.

My girlfriend is excited to have consistent hot water, I'm excited to be rid of the oil tank so I can expand my work benches in the basement.
