Not likely, any deep well pump is 220V. I have an "above ground" pump for my cistern that is 110V, but my well pump is 220V.

Good thinking but no, both the starting and running load is far more than the inverter could provide.
I actually have several generators kicking around -- working generators -- well, not so much, more museum pieces...

That's me. I have one but haven't pulled it out in years. It's a small one as well, so it would only provide some basics, like the frig and lights, maybe the furnace.

I helped a friend with a low cost generator set up at his place.

He put a extra receptacle by his fridge, freezer, furnace and pump all only hooked up to an outside plug in for the generator -- completely isolated from and not tied into the house wiring at all. During an outage he starts the generator and plugs in whatever he needs to operate.

With a small generator he can only run one appliance at a time and he has to swap the plugs back and forth so it isn't "whole house" convenient but it is simple, safe, economical and keeps the water flowing, people warm and food cold.

That about sums up what I have. It's not worth pulling out for a few hour outage.

This one was a long one, much longer than usual. There were a lot of outages all over the area, heavy snow must have done quite a bit of mischief.

I have been living in Central Bucks County, in Southeast Pennsylvania, since the summer of 2005; This old GMC van was sitting in this field back then and may have been moved slightly once or twice, but I think it's safe to say that it probably hasn't been on the road since the 1990s. On Easter Sunday in 2022, I finally decided to stop and get a closer look. The van was always parked with the back end facing Route 309, so I couldn't see the front end and assumed until now that it was an early 1980s model; These pictures confirm that it is a 1971-1977 model. I was also shocked to find that the cab is full of leaves!

I have seen GM vans in much worse condition than this get restored to show quality, including one that got hit by a train, so for the right person I think this van could actually be restored. Just thought I'd share it with ya'll...

Why does anybody stuff a vehicle full of anything? Honestly, it could be a plant that grew through a hole in the floor...

Looks even better in person. Hoping someone doesn't knock it over, the way some people drive around here.

Had quite the day yesterday. Puppy got some runny bowel movements and decided to go in the kitchen before I could get home from work to take him out. Had to go to a funeral and left the dog in the sunroom praying he didn't ruin everything in there. Trucks were pulling out of the firehouse for the funeral and the front one closed the garage door without thinking. Came down on the second one and destroyed the garage door and ripped some lights of the roof. Then we almost collected a F150 who decided stop signs aren't his thing, swerved out of the way and gave him some nice train horn action. Some electrical issues stopped our 2019 Heavy Recue dead in the middle of the funeral procession. Got it back running after a power cycle and had to listen to blaring alarms for the rest of the 20 minute ride. Then when I was coming home from the funeral the wind got nasty and brought a huge branch down on my roof-rack. Heard a huge crash on the roof and when I pulled over to look at it, had some scratches down the sides and a few pieces were stuck in the crossbars. Lucky I have the rack or I would have a nasty dent!

Got home and had to settle down with some whiskey before bed. Took the pup to the vet and he is on a bland diet for the next couple of weeks, but was feeling better and back to being a puppy.

Morning Pa. My boy and I made our last trip to the butcher for last season's kill yesterday. My half of dogs we had made. We split our harvest and the bill, little easier on the wallet. Usually in bow I kill first, give Logan a good razzing, telling him on the radio I'm working on my half! LOL. He normally kills a bigger buck than I in rifle so then it's my turn to take some shit talking. My Dad takes Logan's side but it's all good. Keeps us pumped and on our best game. Butcher was surprised we had a good year because he had way less deer brought in this season. Anyhow, a pack will be on the grill after work today! Happy 420 all!

Minus the puppy and pickup, sounds like a day I’d have. Our Ladder ate two cop cars about a month ago at a working fire, same driver took it to a funeral last week, to do a ladder cross and got side swiped by a drunk and suspended driver. I’m glad it was “dumb” accidents and not anything super serious or major.

*sigh I think this rank is what’s gonna give me gray hair.

    Hope the Pup gets better!
