Yep, sounds about right to me. I’m not as quiet as I use to be, no choice in that regard with what I do, I was the short and quiet one in highschool, only a handful found out the hard way.

Now I just use it to be goofy when I can.

I saw this on my way into work this morning; Nicest cabover I've seen outside of a truck show, the first one I've seen actually being used for work in I don't know how long!

Usually it is your credit card that does that based on the dollars not the gallons. I have had it happen when filling drums with off road diesel.
Tuesday I filled my van and two 5 gallon cans for the mower -- stopped me at $100 and I had to re-swipe and start again.

i find that hard to believe. I see the wads of cash they have. It’s a percentage profit from the thing the old guy told me down the road, therefore when the cost goes up so does their profit.

Lynn and I replaced 3 garden beds yesterday - the wood was rotting out so we went with plastic. Last night was the Senior Dinner at the college's student-run restaurant - WOW!! 7 courses, every one delicious. It's always awesome to see the seniors serving their family members - smiles all around.

The wads of cash are only pass through between purchasing the fuel and paying the taxes.

A friend owned a filling station for 40 years, he always said if he made a nickle a gallon that was about as good as it got. The last 10 years he quit taking credit cards because the transaction fees were more than the profit on the gas.

 

wow, what a load of crap. Big guy sticking it to the little guy again I guess. I know that gas is cheap and plentiful but it’s the gov’t squeezing our teets again, just to show us they can. I should have been an oil tycoon like Yosemite Sam.

 

At the end of every academic year, Lackawanna College spotlights the senior culinary, baking and pastry and Restaurant and Hotel Management seniors. They plan, shop for, prepare and serve a special meal where they invite friends and family to experience what they have been doing all year at the student-run restaurant. Lynn and I are fortunate even though I've retired to get invited back to share the evening. Here's last night's menu and pictures of each course, as well as of the extra dessert and flambe tables - with to-go boxes, too.










There are so many amazing people there who I worked with over the years. We always took selfies at special events in the restaurant...here's this year's.

I drove by the gas station. It's $4.65 today. Was $4.49 yesterday. Crazy.

 

I didn't know we had another Berks County TW person, another practically neighbor.

Just heard on KDKA Sid won't play tonight. Bummer, hope he's OK.
