    camping trip in the books, but it almost didnt happen (okay over exaggeration)

    Bought a new, with box MX4 tonneau cover from another third gen taco owner which was listed as the 16-22 cover on marketplace. Morning of camp, instead of a 30 minute install and packing, I wrangled with it for over 3 hours before googling the part number which says its the cover for a second gen. Not smart of me on several accounts. Thats what I get for trying to avoid buying a new one for $1000.

    We wanted it because it was supposed to pour down rain - which it did - but our tarp held up okay. Only thing that got wet was our sheets for the mattress in our tent. Fun trip though! Went to yogi bear near ohiopyle.

    Don't know any shops in PA. But if you want a slider they aren't cheap. You are looking at a min 300$ just for the back window plus installation. And every shop charges different from one another. Just expect to be paying 700 and up. Apparently they are the same as the 05 15 model back window. Just wanted to give you alittle heads up what to expect as far money goes.

    Thanks for the info. I figured this wasn't going to be cheap--figured in the $700-800 range. I imagine this is the cost for the manual slider not the motorized one? I am trying hard not to call a dealership to get a quote and would rather try a private local auto glass shop...

    If I'm not mistaken the newer tacomas have power rear sliders. I'm sure your truck has the connections for it behind the seat. If they have it the power slider will be even more money.
