Finally decided to put new tires on the 3rd gen. Been hem-hawing around about it, but they were getting a little "skinny" for my liking. Truck has 20K now and they still had 1/2 tread and did ok in wet weather, but I was never completely impressed with their winter traction even though they got me home in some pretty sketchy scenarios. I put a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S on the second gen and like them, so it was a toss between them and some Michelin's. Coopers had the slight edge in winter, sooo....



Can't tell how they're gonna ride on this truck as the place I got the tires from set them at 41 PSI However, that does aid in getting them to seal. I'll let it at that pressure over night and then set them to 32 like the other truck.

Since the old tires were usable they're going on another Tacoma to keep them on the road a couple more years for cheap. Also saved me a little bit on disposal fees.

 

Right now, after 9 p.m., it's 79 degrees, 77% humidity, a real feel of 84 and a dew point of 73. It reminds me of the summer I spent in Miami.

Really small world. We moved from Hays to Munhall. Lived there until I got married then moved to South Park. My mother still lives in Munhall so I am over there quite a lot. My sister lives in West Mifflin, so between the 2 I spend a lot of time over in that area.

Oh, I thought you were just across the border. Wow, you are a long way from PA. How many hours to get to PA in your Taco?

 

There used to be an Eaton facility in Beaver.
