Did you get it from a dealer or a box store?
A dealer should make it right for you, if a box store ask for a refund/exchange.

We’ve got an issue with the monster cicada killer hornets.
I know they don’t really go after people but they’re ridiculously huge and they scare the shit out of you.
Usually only see one or two a year. So far I’ve killed 8 of them.

The picture really doesn’t do it justice, they have at least a 3 inch wingspan and sound like a hummingbird.
This one is pretty much folded in half after I nailed it with my flip-flop.

I went to a yard last week. Had to over 50 of them floating around just the front yard. No hive not sure why they were attracted to only the front yard. I sprayed but not sure if was gonna actually doing anything.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That's because they are ground dwellers. You must have good soil in your front yard.

Not real good on MI geography but planning a ride up to Gay Township, MI in September to "The Gay Bar". Going to be a memorial ride in honor of a friend who just passed away.

This was at a customers house. And not very well kept property. They are harmless bees never been stung by one. In fact only the females have stingers. The male don't have one.

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Slowly doing battle with the COVID monster - maybe I shouldn't have climbed the 15' ladder several times yesterday afternoon to replace a piece of siding that fell from under the eaves of the garage. Spent the rest of the day on the couch. This sucks.

Be safe out there and send the rain our way. The lawn is beyond crispy.

Toss the air filter. I have a Stihl chain saw and a leaf blower. I did this to both of them because they were so hard to start. I removed the wool felt (or whatever it is) air filter, cut a piece of foam rubber to fit, oiled it up, stuck it in there. They both start okay now. You can try taking the filter out and see if it starts, if so do what I suggested.

I also NEVER EVER touch the primer bulb.

    • Pull 3-4 times until I hear it try to fire
    • Open the choke, leave it on full throttle
    • Pull 1-2 more times, vroom vroom

You three are lucky you all live in states that don't have any type of vehicle inspections, but here in the crowded Northeast, idiots who can't take care of their vehicles have ruined it for those of us who actually do.

In 2007, my dad's 1996 Nissan Pathfinder failed an emissions test due to a hole in the muffler if I remember correctly. My dad replaced the entire exhaust system and brought it back, and it passed. My Tacoma has never failed an emissions test or safety inspection, and with the exception of the Pathfinder, none of my parents' vehicles have ever failed. My truck and both of my parents' vehicles (2013 Nissan Murano and 2018 GMC Yukon) have stickers that expire at the end of October this year. We're taking the Yukon up to Massachusetts in mid-September, so my dad wants it inspected before that. The Yukon goes in on September 9th, my truck goes in on September 12th, and my mom's Murano goes in on September 26th.

I sort of agree with the safety inspections, but even California with it's strict smog testing doesn't require annual safety inspections and they seem to do just fine. Florida doesn't require any sort of emissions testing or safety inspection! Emissions testing is pointless, and my mechanic who does the test every year agrees with me. It is little more than another source of revenue for a state that already taxes the shit out of everything else. On another note, vehicle owners are required to show proof that their vehicle is insured before it can be inspected, which is rather Orwellian in my opinion. It think it is Orwellian because all of this info is logged into a central database.

Nobody will ever be able to convince me that yearly emissions testing does anything but separate the typical Pennsylvania motorist from their hard-earned money, and makes it a pain in the ass to make certain performance-oriented modifications your vehicle. I've met a lot of people with dubiously modded vehicles at car shows who either "have a guy" or are licensed to perform the inspection themselves, which takes the entire point out of the emissions testing program. Up until about six or seven years before I was born, Pennsylvania required all vehicles to get a safety inspection twice a year!

I don't mind the safety inspections, and it does keep some junk off the road. But if you know somebody and their uncle-brother you can get a sticker easily... Not that I have ever done that or anything... :anonymous:

Luckily in my county we don't do emissions. So when cars in emissions counties won't pass they get sold in my county to live out the res of their rusted out days...
