It happens but not all that common. Normal happens when people have to much weight or things hanging off the mirror. I doubt the riser is the cause of it. Could of just been faulty glass.

One of my favorite Pittsburghese words. My dad used it freely and regularly. I have early memories of hearing it. :p

Of course, this is the same family that has a pig roast each year, underground and has a trailer towed beer dispenser brought in. 3 kegs chilled. Kind of modern for you good old boys
Think if I disagree, I may be buried in the nearby hills.
I don’t disagree and my wife tells me to keep quiet and enjoy. Which I do
    What a life.

Rhemers blend, by the PA macaroni company? Yeah, been to the strip in Pittsburgh may times and seen it.
The strip is what 9th street in Philly SHOULD be but not.
It’s Crap compared to the strip in Pittsburgh
Stop in DeLucas for breakfast and have a full day looking around and eating more then you wanted

    I found this online:
Why do some places call soda pop?

    images_ef1c00578057bc0c3b75cea15a0e17ba2fd7ab7e.jpg

They say the term "soda pop" is traced back to the 1800s when seltzer water came into production and tasty carbonated beverages were eventually served at soda fountains in drug stores. Their report indicates "pop" itself caught on as slang, and was prominently used in northern states like Minnesota and Wisconsin

Will have to hit it next time there. Wife’s family is good going where ever if I ask considering each time the come here, they want cheesesteaks.
They show up 10 or 11 at night after the four hour drive, suitcase hits the living room floor and all I hear is “cheesesteak”
We’re in Philly at midnight going to two or more places. One likes Pats, one likes Jim’s, before it burnt down a month ago, and we try a new place just for comparison.
Long night but we have fun

    Dalessandro's hands down IMO!

Second would be Big Joe's Sandwich Shop in Essington (Tinicum Township, near the airport). It's a hole in the wall place, but damn he's got good food!
