Not even a baseball fan but had the game on last night. Had the TV muted every now then I'd look up saw they were losing looked up again they were tied. Seen this morning they won fell asleep.

 

Finally washed the truck after AOAA.

I'm probably banned from that car wash now.

 

Strubble lake must have been hit hard for pheasant. We humped it almost 4 miles (the boy had his step thingy on) and nothing. Heard some shots, ran into some others but we had nothing….until the way out.
Yeah, a hen but will still taste good.

 

They may have had to cycle their reused water thanks to you…nice!

 

Is the dark wine made from concord grapes?

 

The first is a Chianti, second is a white Zinfandel, the white is Pinot Grigio, all California. The other dark is my favorite and wife’s which is Italian juice, Amarone.
We used to crush our own but got to be to much. Dad is getting up in age and can’t do as much.
Gave the press to my brother in law. So we buy 6 gallon pails of juice, place them in 5 gallon carboys, add yeast prior to, measure alcohol levels before and after, rack three times minimum.
No concord here. All specific to each wine.
The extra, since 6 doesn’t go into 5, gets mixed and reloaded after racking to top them off.

 

This is my set up for now. Need to move from the garage to the basement when I can
I use the ones I need for the amount I’m making but have room for much more
Top are for new, bottom we rack to, then clean and sanitize the top for later racking.
Sanitation is the key. Pumps, shiphons are all cleaned all the time especially before use.

Mornin’. Had a French drain and sump pump installed yesterday. Just went down to look again and heard the sump pump run. It hasn’t rained for 4 or 5 days.
This will be great for my wife, who works in the basement. Anyone in SEPa needs any waterproofing done call TKO Waterproofing. Got to see our daughter meet her first niece yesterday, as she lives in Boston. I’ve never seen anyone melt that fast. She’s always loved babies and now she gets to spoil one of our own. We all do.

 

Morning Pennsylvania

 

Good morning all. Brother shot a deer yesterday some how roped me into looking for this deer. Never found it. It was so thick back behind his house thick sticker bushes even the machete was having a hard time. Told him this is one of the reasons I don't hunt. Don't feel like walking through thick spiky brush.

 

I hate when that happens

 

Headed to Bangor tomorrow to hunt !

 

I really did try looking too. It was bleeding pretty good. But when I tell ya it was thick back there it was. Deer could of just jumped in one of those thickets back there n died

 

Where I use to hunt in PA at my uncle camp it get thick up there but not sticker bushes.

 

Got to keep looking . I shot a nice buck with the crossbow a few years ago . Got too excited and shot at him while he was walking . This was in November. I found the deer in March . Obviously I was only able to recover the skull. Real thick stuff I probably walked within 20-30 yards of him a couple times . I found him because coyotes yanked what was left of the carcass out onto the edge of the thick nasty sticker bushes .

 

I’m actually headed to Bangor Pennsylvania tomorrow to hunt for a few days . Staying at a friends .

 

Apparently we had a good frost here this morning, but I didn't wake up till 10am so I didn't see it


The two big maples out front have been dropping leaves rapidly, but I've been under the weather all week so today might be the first day I'm able to mulch them all.
