    FEELER: Looking for folks interested in an old 96 tacoma 3.4L with probably 200k miles on it.

    I used to own this truck back from 99-2003. I sold it to a guy locally. He just contacted me today with questions about it. He tried to get it inspected, but it failed due to frame rot back by the rear shocks. He wanted to know if the truck was worth anything and/or all the parts on it. I told him, I'd throw out some information and see if I could get some contacts for him.

    I don't know the condition of the truck otherwise. I've seen it a couple times over the last 9 years in passing. So, I would guess....it'll be a parts truck or something someone would turn into an offroader.

    I'm pretty sure it has all the original parts on it that I put on it ....back in 2000 (or so). I have photos but the truck isn't gonna look like that now after 9 years.
    When I sold it, it had:
    2" OME front coil lift/struts and OME rear shocks
    Rear Re-arched springs with 2 additional leafs added
    Front TJM bumper
    Rear Bumper (home built by someone I can't remember)
    Square tube rock sliders (stitch welded to the frame)
    Bucket seats w/ console
    Rear diff breather extension
    Deckplate mod....

    It's been so long, I can't remember. I don't know how much he's looking to get out of it. Like I mentioned, this is only for gathering 'contacts' for him.

    From what I understand, he took it to a garage to have the clutch pedal fixed (the infamous clutch pedal bushing problem) and have it inspected....and it didn't pass inspection due to the frame.

    Too bad he's a bit too late for the frame recall. :confused:
