    As luck would have it, I actually have a 2.5-ton Copeland Scroll compressor in my garage that I saved when I scored the complete system from my neighbor earlier this month. This is the exact compressor, right down to the cooling capacity and exact size, that is in my 1st floor Goodman.

    This is a rotary compressor that I yanked out of a junked Whirlpool wall unit the other day. This is not the exact compressor that would be in a central A/C unit, but it is similar. Note that the Freon line is located at the top of the compressor, rather than on the side...

    It's a 2012. I don't drive it much. Plus my last job I had a take home work truck so the truck sat for 8 months.
