I hate HATE the blue route ‼️

 

It is in a garage, although it's a detached, unheated garage. I started it a few times over the cold spell but my wife did not drive it as she is on vacation.

 

I usually warm up my wife's car before she drives it.

Drove in to/out of Hoboken, NJ yesterday - had to pick up an aunt at the University Hospital - ugh. 2 1/4 hours from home...last 6 miles took 30 mintues and consisted mostly of driving one-lane, one-way streets. Then out 78 to take my aunt home to Phillipsburg, NJ and another 1.5 hours home up 33/80W/380E/and 81N. A dream day.

Good morning PA. @steelcity2, we are finally going to make it to that pizza/pasta place in Squirrel Hill today. Last week's terrible weather cancelled the gathering and they are only open for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Hopefully the pizza will be good, including the gluten free for my grandson. One downside to eating in the city is the parking. There is little to none on Murray Ave., so we will probably have to use the lot a block or so away. Not sure what it will cost.

Good morning all and happy Friday I had 4 hours of vacation I need to burn or lose so I've got a half day today. Supposed to be tolerably warm enough to take a nice final motorcycle ride for the year. Will go gas it up with non-Ethanol and be back out on New Year's Day for a polar bear ride.

 

I may or may not have a guy that coulda looked past that...

Morningish pa peeps. I pinched a nerve in my back yesterday so sleep wasn't on the menu for me last night. Pretty much just tossed and turned. No plans for the day so I swept and mopped the kitchen floor. These dogs sure know how to make them messy. This week has gone by to fast I go back to work on Monday. Not looking forward to that.

 

I somehow pulled my left calf just walking up the steps yesterday twords the end of the night. You can see me on camera going to a control panel all hobbling. Everybody was like "WTF?"

I really do love the bit of December spring we always seem to get in PA.

Taking advantage today and replacing the clutch master and slave cylinders in my taco. Threw in an ADM delete hose while I was at it. Once it was all done, clutch wouldn't go more than a few inches down. Scared the crap out of me. Turns out that the push rod from the master wasn't seated in the right place. Crisis averted. Next step is a shower and a cruise with the windows down

 

Whats a ADM hose delete ? And yes it's 65 outside in Pittsburgh, great cruising weather. Saw a few motorcycles. Had to settle for sams club pizza .

 

Something strange I noticed when I changed oil yesterday. Now mind you my truck(2013 V6) hasn't been started in apx 2 weeks , so after pulling the drain plug , next I put my red solo cup under the oil filter to catch the oil from the filter. However when I unscrewed the filter nothing came out, not even 1 drop. I use the Toyota filter. I believe it has an anti drain back valve ?
Was this normal ? Or was it because of the 2 weeks sitting ?
Normally I change when engine is hot and get oil from the filter .
