Final code inspection is complete for our solar system (Green sticker on the meter box). Now just waiting from the final paperwork from the power company to complete the approval process - should have that in the next few day. Once it's all signed, the system will be turned on remotely through the company that did our installation (you can see that the system lever is in the "On" position on the right-most box). Should be cooking by the end of the week.

 

So I have an o2 downstream sensor code. Won’t be able to get to it for at least a week. Will there be any damage to anything if it runs this way for a short time?

So I go outside to leave and notice my wife's 2019 Rav4 Adventure AWD has significant damage on the left rear quarter/bumper cover. I call my wife outside and ask when this happened, her reply "I don't know.". This is my life, I've asked her repeatedly over the years to always walk around the vehicles when she gets into them to check for damage. You never know. This happened at the Circle K on Brighton Rd. Guy in the 5th gen 4Unner is local to the neighborhood and graduated with our neighbors years ago. He clearly backs into the Rav4, then pulls forward and pulls over into the next spot far away from the Rav4 to make it look like he didn't hit it. (He almost hits the van trying n g to back out beside him too). He gers out, checks the damage on his 4Runner and continues getting ice from the box. My wife and sons come out as he's getting the ice, doesn't say a F☆<[!♡♤ word to my wife but keeps looking to see if she notices. Than checks his vehicle again. My wife calls up the Circle K today and asks if it's on video of her car getting hit, the cashier checks and tells her "Yes and I hope you get him to pay, I've gotten hit three times and never got a plate number". Called the police, filled out report, get his information back. Now I get to deal with the bullshit of insurance companies and having the rav4 fixed and painted correctly. This isn't an easy color to match. Also the taillight is damaged as well as the rear hatch is pushed to the right. The gaps are completely off now. I'll post pictures and videos after I talk with my insurance and his insurance tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about your hassle. Many today have that minimum insurance coverage which means others get screwed when something like this happens.

Can only like half of the post. You getting the video. Some people just suck. Glad he got caught. Hope his insurance rates go up.

 

I'm calling the officer back and making sure he sites him for hit and run as well. Put in the claim. Emailed Geico (his insurance company) the surallaince videos and gave the the police report number. This should be a open/close claim with all of this evidence.
