Busted her in my Camry. Had I been in the Tundra could have just straddled her. Quartering away from me in the left wheel track headed toward the side of road. I couldn't miss her. Quick check no damage, no pulling on the steering, hoping tire is up after my shift. Might be a half day for me, will see.

You may have noticed that Andy, over at the 50+ thread, has a countdown going on for his reteirement, some website that tkes it to the hour.

 

I said to my grandson, this is how it was back then: 3 channels - if you were lucky to not live in a valley of holler. Your read, hung out with your friends or maaybe listened to an album, except today all my music is digital. The only positive for my grandson: he had homework to do online, so he had an excuse to not have it done.

 

I remember we had a special parade for the 1976 town fair. As a member of the little league baseball program we marched with flags and that year we all received a red white and blue themed trophy. Yes listening to the radio. You remember 13Q ? All the cool kids listened to that station lol.

 

I do remember 13Q. I listened to WDVE back then, guys like Jack Malloy. I think he was the one who played Rock On every time he signed off. What I remeber from 1976 was visting my cousins on or around the Fourth of July. They lived in West View and we were in the center of the town for some celebration.

 

Living and loving the retired life. What do I HAVE to do today? Nothing!!!

Morning, this weekends looking to be a proper May weekend unlike last week. Finally get my lawn mowed maybe.

 

Will be retired 30 years the end of June. It's great.

 

Just wrapped up my termite job. Helps that there was pre existing drill holes. Made my life easier.
