Well maybe apx 12 miles away. I'm 17 miles south of Pittsburgh. Dormont is 5(?) South of Pittsburgh.

My girlfriend's roommate got this in the mail. It's a bill from a real law firm in Philly, for an unpaid toll in Western PA, for a 2011 T4R with Colorado plates (I ran the license plate listed on the letter through Carfax). My girlfriend's roommate has never been to that part of Pennsylvania, has never lived in Colorado, and has never owned a Toyota 4Runner; I smell a scam! She does not have an EZ Pass and goes out of her way to avoid driving on the turnpike to save money. The toll where she supposedly didn't pay is located in Gibsonia, PA; I had never heard of Gibsonia and had to look it up.

I was initially thinking that someone blew a toll in a rented 4Runner, but a 2011 T4R would not be a rental in 2023. That also brings us back to how my girlfriend's roommate, who has never owned a T4R or lived in Colorado, ended up tied to this.

Not that it matters, but the roommate drives a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, which is obviously registered in Pennsylvania. She has only lived in this apartment since April 1st, 2023 and at the time this occurred (April 20th, 2023) the Outlander was still registered to her previous address in Tobyhanna, PA. It still is registered to the Tobyhanna address, and the numbers on the thing she got do not match the numbers on the legit firm's website.

The whole think stinks of a scam, but this still seems to be a legit law firm, the name of which is being used without their permission...

If you do a Google search for PA turnpike unpaid tolls there is a toll free number you can call.

 

PA toll collection from a law firm with the payment going to Texas. I'd throw that right in the trash.

 

A new thread I assume. I am located in Glenmoore, Pa. and I am looking for referral for a local body shop just for paint work.

I haven't cretaed a thread in awhile, but if you look next to "you" at top right, you will see a box with a pen. I think if you click on that you can start a new thread.

 

How did that slip through. I just created a new town. Not a bad place. They have neat little diner there call the dor-stop , great place to fill ur gut.
