Good night Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Was a hot one today but not as humid as it was last week which was a plus. But gonna be hotter tomorrow. So hitting the hay early tonight.

Legs are alittle itchy and still sore. I spent all day cutting down and cutting up 9 trees that were as tall as 106ft tall on a steep hillside beside my neighbors house by myself. Still have two more trees up towards the top of the hillside I'll cut down tomorrow morning. Also cut down and hauled away 12ft tall annoying water plants or whatever they're called (they grow everywhere around Pittsburgh and next to impossible to get rid of them). One section was 87ft long by 16ft deep, the other was 46ft long by 22ft deep. It's like bamboo stalks with big leafs. PITA !!!

Keep some Benadryl around. You might have a slight allergy if you are itching. Take care.

He must be. About 20 years ago I got hit about 8 times by a nest of yellow jackets and I was literally down and out. My blood pressure dropped to near zero. I even pissed myself. I had to go in an ambulance to the e.r. where they hit me with an EpiPen on steroids, this after the paramedics hit me with one at my house. I am now super cautious when cutting the gras and working in the yard. I am always looking for those one or two yellow jackets hovering above the ground. The next step is to see if there is a hole. last year, I had a spot in my yard where the grass was high because I was going around their hole until my step son was able to come and get rid of them. Those things are nasty.

If you wait until after dark you can go out and douse the nest/hole/whatever with bee spray safely. They go dormant at night.

I once had a hornet's nest on the back side of an outbuilding that I didn't see. Neighbor wanted me to douse it so that night I did. I saw him the next day and said "I hit that hornet's nest early this morning but didn't see a single bee!"

Back in the day, my neighbor who is now deceased, came over at dusk, poured gas down the hole, then plugged it with an apple from my tree. :D
