This isn't really family reunion but had me thinking about my uncles hunting camp in PA. Used to be a packed house during deer season. Now my father is the senior member there was around 12 guys now it's down to 4 members everyone else including my uncle has passed away. I no longer hunt haven't since I was 17. I do like to go up every now again. So my father my father younger brother my uncle that passed his nephew and and my his son. Crazy how fast that camp dwindle away. I'm happy my uncles wife decided to keep the camp.

Yeah. Times change. I think about how my father and uncles all worked in the mills back in the day. They would stop at the bar after their shift and my dad would bring us home a steak hoagie from there. Most of us went in other directions, even while the mills were still open. My older brother worked there one summer and and my cousin worked there a few years until they closed. With the reunions, cousins used to get together more in the old days. Then people moved away, interests changed and people had less children in general. All those dynamics just changed people's interest in these kind of get togethers.

Happy Monday folks. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Just a reminder that just because the winds changed and we don't see smoke in PA anymore doesn't mean the wildfires are gone. Friend who drives a water truck sent a couple photos from the front lines in BC where they are trying to get them under control. They've lost 2 firefighters this month. Keep the people out there in your thoughts.

Thanks! I think I had a few of them bookmarked but not all. Guess I need to head back out that way again. Already planning a ride to Ohio end of this month for a FJR forum tech day in Marysville. Found out Columbus has quite a few murals.

Storms blew threw around 630 tonight. Power is still out nearly 4 hours later. No estimate on when it will be restored. Thankfully we have a generator for critical circuits like the fridge and some lights.

Lost the tops of a few trees. Tomorrow will be clean up time.
