Thanks, Matt. Just been taking a little break. All is well...other than this damn hip. Off to a follow-up ortho appointment in a few minutes.

Hope all is well with you and everyone else here!!

Would the carrier bearing make a grinding noise if it goes bad?

Thanks, guys! It's nice to be missed.

Hip follow-up went well. Getting old sucks - most of the issue is arthritis-related combined with the many years of abuse in the Army. But, the PT helped quite a bit and the doctor advised against doing a steroid injection into the joint for now. So, we're in a slow heal mode.

    Life is good.

Getting old isn't for sissies. Glad PT helped. Warranty on the knees expired. Gonna have to do something soon.

Usually when the carrier bearing wears out it gets sloppy and causes vibrations , can it make noise I guess , when u joints wear they usually get noisy and sloppy . However if ur doing any of them may as well save some labor and do them all. They probably all same age and fixen to go out soon.

Mark, had both done. Not at the same time, one 2016, one 2020 before Covid shut the world down. Best thing ever. Working out each day like nothing happened. IF you get there, a very simple procedure today.
Even had some hardware in the first hip from when I was a kid. Did some stupid shit and they screwed my hip back in. Long story on how the were able to remove the hardware to allow for the new hip but I was up and walking the same day. No pain, no issues, like brand new.
    Take care, good luck.

Nope haven't had time. I don't really ever get to drive the truck till the weekends. So I pull it out this weekend and do a good look over on everything. Make a list of things to get and do it myself.

    Morning Mark!

My grandmother just had her hip replaced at almost 90 years old not even a month ago. Last week when I was at her house she was getting around pretty good with the walker, much better than before! She is pretty stubborn and isn't moving around like she should. I am betting someone who is willing to work at it better will have no issues. Now, my mother had both hers replaced, but one isn't exactly right. Been an issue for a while now. It has caused back issues. However, nobody is willing to re-do it. Not trying to dissuade you, just everyone only shares good stories and not the bad ones.
