I feel like pa is the worst when it comes to slow left lane drivers. I basically have to push people out of my way anytime I make a trip to pa.

Dunno about that. The NJ Turnpike with 12 lanes of friggin chaos heading from Philly to NY City is absolutely nuts

I was in Delaware and PA, obviously the left lane keepers of the speed are out in full force, then I get cut off twice by people who want to be left lane campers. Then somebody decides to pull a u-turn right in front of me despite having a solid 15 second window to do a safe u-turn.

    Man,

Me being from SoCal/LA...and driving out there in my early 20s...and then living/driving on the east coast in my military retirement years...

My tolerance level has changed significantly.

Highway 1 to Delaware Beaches south can be annoying but my travel miles are much less than out-of-staters.

Why is everyone in such a hurry?

I've become more of a "give the right-of-way even when I have the right-of-way" thought process.

What I mean is, I pass on the left...if someone is tailing me when I'm passing, I get in the right lane as soon as I can so the driver behind me can pass.

If someone is trying to pass me because I leave 2 car lengths distance and they are approaching 30+ mph faster than posted speed limit, I avoid speeding up to block them...hence they zig-zag through highway traffic doing the same to others.

To me...there is no reason to add frustration to the other driver (as well as myself), because one driver is determined to navigate unsafely.

A sound approach. What frustrates me is when you go to pass in the left lane and the vehicle you are passing, who was not even doing the speed limit, decides they want to speed up, in essence race you. I've been on a highway doing, say, 63 in a 65, so I pass on the left. The next thing i know I'm doing 78 while the slow poke in the right lane is now Mario Andretti (PA shout out). If I keep my foot to the pedal long enough the new found speed racer submits and within a minute is a speck in my rear view. It's as if some people, who don't want to drive fast, decide they do when somebody tries to pass.

    OMG!

I just replied to a "Pool Guy Story" and this is now a "Highway Driving Story".

Yes, I've seen slow-paced drivers turn into Super Mario Cart drivers in an instant!

    Thanks for sharing your story.

I generally drive the same. But its different when somebody has nobody in front with a half mile of cars behind them in the left lane

    I've seen that too.

People end up passing on the right...and that, of course is discouraged.

Those type of drivers are more of a hazard to everyone and seem totally unaware they contribute to delays in traffic flow.

Either that or they feel it's their right to drive as they do and forget that a driver's license is a privilege with responsibilities.
