On cold mornings where dew has frosted the windshield, I've remote started my truck about 30 minutes before I push-button start it and drive off to work.

Like you said, it shuts off after 10 minutes and my windshield is that much clearer when I jump in to drive.

My wife's car is parked in the garage and my Sporty is parked outside.

I need to rearrange things in my garage to fit-check if my truck will even fit in there...probably a tight squeeze! lol

My after market remote start works the same way. Open the door with the key and turn the ignition to on. Hit the brake first and the truck shuts down. Turns off automatically after 15 minutes. That time is adjustable.

The guy that installed mine asked if I wanted a 15min timer or 20 min. I asked for the 20min. I normally don't let it run for 20min. It's more like 10mins before I leave the house. Just to get the truck warmed up enough so I'm not feeling my ass off when I get in.

Saw my first 24 tacoma at the car show. Then we stopped at Ken Ganley Toyota on way home to test drive a corolla cross hybrid but they only had 1 cross and it wasn't a hybrid.
So we also test drove a crv at the Honda dealer and wife said nope.
So we are between a rav hybrid and a corolla cross hybrid. But the rub is we would want the cross all loaded up and that puts us at 35,600. If we ompare the rav with what options we want we are at 40,900. Rav is bigger , cross gets better mileage ...... have to drive them both then see what she feels comfortable in. Of course the miser in me says cross, but would the rav hold its value more ?

Oh getting back to the 24 tacoma , Ken Ganley had 1 , I asked the salesman how did it drive and he said it was snappy , it was quicker and more responsive than the gen3 v6. The 24 is a 4cy turbo. Again I'd have to drive to judge the 2 myself .

If I was in the market for a rav4 hybrid I’d look real hard at a Venza.

I actually like the venza. Funny I mention that to a friend a couple years ago. And he bought 1 for his wife.

It’s on the same platform the Lexus RX is built on. A lot more refined than a rav, and once you get into hybrid prices they aren’t crazy different

The Pens had a nice jersey retirement ceremony for Jagr. Plenty of nostalgia and good time memories from the past.

I'll be taking the wife's Rav4 to the dealer for its annual inspection, emissions and probably an oil change. She has about 22,000 miles on the car which she has driven for about 45 months. To say she doesn't drive much is an understatement.
