Well first day at the new job went good. I originally asked for a take home work truck. But that shit is raggedy af. So I'll just stack some money and buy a used Honda civic for a commuter car. Oh and my truck is so damn noisy with that seized lower control arm bushing. Like extra noisy. I have to drive with the music on high. But it has people looking like groundhogs with me coming down the road.
My drive to this new job is roughly 50mins. Mostly all highway.

 

We’ve questioned taking our work trucks home. I drive about 45 minutes each way every day. My RAV4 does good and is AWD so I’m happy. But to drive a new ford home daily wouldn’t be bad.

Today is my last day driving taxi during the week. I'll continue to work Sundays till the weather warms up.

 

We've been running LED with battery backup in the plant for a long time. Got rid of those fucking metal halide lights that took 15 minutes to come back on when the power flickered.

We did the offices when we did some electrical work and dropped a neutral.. when the guys turned the first light on it popped, so they went through every single light and turned them on one by one to test them. After EVERY LIGHT was blown we may have bought out every LED drop ceiling light in the area.
