Friend of mine has an old hatchback in his Honda collection. I think it’s a 78? Would probably fit in the bed of my Tundra!

The late 80s and all thru the 90s might have been my favorite era for cars. And the Hondas were among some of the best at the time. (my opinion, of course)

mileage wise, I bought a Honda Fit when they brought it to the States...I think that was 2007? I easily got 45mpg in that. And it was even fun to take to weekend auto cross.

You'd love RADwood events then. That's their timeframe.
I had a 2008 Fit Sport with a manual gearbox. Great gas mileage, a total hoot to toss around just like you said. Fun in the "drive a slow car fast" kind of way. It was also absolutely flawless through 100K miles, only to be destroyed in a hailstorm.

By the time I'm done with fixing up this honda accord it's going to be a new car. Just ordered valve cover gaskets. Got a better look at it this morning definitely leaking from the valve cover. Also found where the rain has been leaking into the car. I first checked the sunroof that's all good. It is indeed coming in from the windshield. So I'm gonna try to cut the windshield out without breaking it and grind the pinch weld down get better primer on it and re install the windshield. Pulled the e brake and put it in gear. Good thing I already ordered mount mounts for it. It's rocking like an old 80s band. Now we just need a sunny weekend so I can start on this.

Instead of cutting the windshield out I just tried to reseal it from the inside. It just started raining again. I'll go out in a hour or two to see if that did the trick. I'm off of work today had to go to the doctor this morning. Found a lump on my chest. Turns out it's just a cyst better safe than sorry.

Waiting on insurance to authorize lubricating shot, the good one. Not ready for replacement can't be down. Such is life.

That's why I miss my saab 9-3. 2004 Aero with a tune and catback. Had gobs of power when I needed it but if I just cruised at 75 on the highway I used to see 38-40mpg. It was fantastic. That and the night dashboard feature that turned off all the interior lights and gauges except what was needed (current speed, gas gauge below 1/4 tank and tach over a certain RPM)

Doc told me there is a 50/50 chance the lubricating shot would work and if it did work would only last 6 months. I'm leaning toward surgery and get it over with.
